I've just downloaded and installed the new version 1.34 of theAbstractGuitar. On all presets, the note F4 plays an octave too high. Or, possibly, the fundamental is severely damped compared to higher harmonics making it sound an ovtave too high? In any case, it sounds odd.
Also, the About and Help dialogs display improperly when tAG is loaded in Chainer. They are tiny and clip most of the information.
I don't know if things were this way in previous versions.
I'm running on Windows XP.

Hello, sorry for the problems you had with tAG. The About and Help box are indeed showing wrongly on Chainer, but on other hosts we tested it shows correctly. It has to do with sequencer-running at the same time you ask for those screens (Chainer has an internal clock that is allways running) so we have to check that and fix it.
About the notes, there is no such problem with note F4. We just tested the synth with a tuner, and what you hear is the Pitch-Deviation that is turned ON by default, turn it off for a perfect pitch. This option is on the global menu, click on the LOGO to see it.

Yes, on my system the Help and About dialogs display incorrectly in Chainer but do display correctly in other hosts. So I think you are right about it being an issue between Chainer and tAG and not a general issue.
I guess I didn't describe the pitch problem the way I meant to. The note that should play F4 does play F4 correctly, as you say. However, the note that should play F3 also plays F4. That's where it's an octave too high -- at least, according to my ears and, also, according to my very expensive Peterson strobe tuner.
The F3 note isn't identical to the F4 note. The F3 note has some more bottom to it compared to the F4 note; but it doesn't have enough of the fundamental to register as F3 on my tuner. And if I play E3, F3, G3, it sounds like there is an octave jump at F4 -- far more so than any other note sequence.
I also think the fundamental for B2 is a bit too weak -- it can cause my tuner to jump up to B3. But, it isn't anywhere near as noticable as the F3/F4 note.
I've tried playing with the Pitch Deviation factor. But, that doesn't change it.
In any case, I think tAG is totally fab and I enjoy having it very much!

Hello James, you surely have a good ear, or a good tuner <grin>,
admittely there is a "flaw" in the model which damp
the fundametal faster than the second harmonic for F notes, and a bit for B notes too,
let's say it's a different resonance, surely I wanna change that for the version 2 we are preparing.
Meanwhile you will notice that this higher F resonance
depends also on Timbre setting, e.g. Timbre 5
should mask more that effect
