I was trying to do drum kick, but everytime it sounds it sounds a bit different, you can hear at the beggining of the sound that sometimes is like if there where some kind of "Phase cancelation"
Why is this ?
here's the preset :http://www.mediafire.com/download.php?dmjmmz3jtvk
By the way does anyone has a good, i mean a really good standard drum kick preset, like the one from the 808 for example ?
Thanx!
Why this sound i made sounds diffeent everytime ?

There's some good drum presets in Michael Kastrup's "Old School" demo presets. You should check that out.giorgiomartini wrote:I was trying to do drum kick, but everytime it sounds it sounds a bit different, you can hear at the beggining of the sound that sometimes is like if there where some kind of "Phase cancelation"

Giorgio,
Your kick patch needs to have "Reset" turned on in the Phase section of each oscillator. When it's off, the waveform is starting in a "random" position each time midi note on is received, causing the sound to be different each time, which is obviously not ideal for percussion.
It's worth trying an XFM module with high resonance plus two oscillators - one as input, and one to control the cutoff frequency. Using this method it's possible to create really deep, powerful kicks. 909 style is no problem using this method!
I'm working on some OSC files, bass patches and kick drums at the moment, which I'll be uploading in the next few days for people to use. You will see what I mean
Peace,
Andy.
