I have a feeling that my host soon is going for 64bit OS (and optimised for 64bit code). I had a forum discussion lately about that with 1 of the developers and told us that its not so hard to compile for 64bit. Is it possible to see sylenth run on 64bit optimised code?
Wtb inspiration!

I've already created a 64bit native version for Sylenth1! It'll be available with the next update (which will be released soon)vicious_angel wrote:I have a feeling that my host soon is going for 64bit OS (and optimised for 64bit code). What is the advantage of using the 64-bit version? Does it provide better sound quality or lower CPU? Or is it just a proof of concept for now?

The advantage is probably more important for host software than for most plugins themselves. Using 64 bit architecture allows a computer to address up to 16 billion GB of ram, instead of the pretty limited 4 (or 3 in windows XP for example) GB's that 32 bit computers can use.JimmiG wrote:What is the advantage of using the 64-bit version? But a 64 bit host can only do this if the plugins it runs are built on the x64 architecture too.
