Server msut be getting pounded, it took 5 minutes to d/l this time. ;)

Anyway, Problems I'm finding so far -

8 Bit Voice has a 'beating' problem BAD at C7, not as bad at C6, and a weird kinda 'dropout' at C5, like a weird loop point. Loop is smooth, but a bit weird. PE2000 Strings same problem, same spot. Solina 1 seems to have it in the low end, C2 range. Trindent Strings B has it bad after about 5 seconds into the loop at C2 up through C3. Vintage Strings O3 is pretty nasty around G2-C3, being really noticable at C3. Matrix 12 has a little beating at the in the upper registers C5 and up. Roland Jupiter 8, weird quick loopy kind of problem. B3 Percussive Dry is very light, and I'm guessing that's just the instrument for its slight beating up high C4 and up. 60sE Organ has a very strange, 'flutter' that starts around G4, gets REAL bad at C5-G5, and starts to taper off at C6.Mellotron Strings A has a lot of pops in loop points. C#3 through A3 is particularily bad as it's a hardcore click. D2-F2 I notice a click, but it's a lot lighter. Minimoog Triangle is a definiate click in the loop at C#5 and up. MS20 Pulse 50 has more bad loop points above C#5. MS20 Pulse 90 c#5 and above, same problem, but more of a 'pulse/warble' than a click. MS20 Saw C5# and above, bad loop point. Ms20 Square, C#5-F5 has a 'dip'. MS20 Triangle, same thing, same range.

Whew! That's a lot! Should have checked this closer earlier. I don't remember this being in there, but thought I better check REAL close with all your new sample updates.

Actually, using my Head-Phones, I DID listen to the clicks now. Sorry about that. I will go trought all files again, and be sure that we have perfect loops. I made a mistake, you don't listen to loops, you have to see the loop points to be sure they match the level. Since some sound-cards will click more than others, and mine doesn't that loud.

Sorry guys, looks like I will have to edit samples again.

BTW: I found that SoundForge has LoopTuner that shows if the loop is visually correct, I will use it. Since some loops really doesn't click on my soundcard, but they ARE indeed bad.

At least I did find something...

And oops  on my part. Shift all of those down by one octave too. So C7 is C6, C2 is C1, etc. Sorry. :(

SOUND-SETS UPDATED VERSION 20b

DevonB and Ford. I used a new tool from SoundForge called TuneLooper, and indeed, I found some pretty nasty bad loop points on all files you reported. The fault was mine, my sound-card somehow doesn't click for those samples, but the bad loop was there. So I checked all files carefully and fixed.

I uploaded a new file, since almost every sample had some changes.

William, just thought I tell you that I can´t test Eve anymore because of the huge downloads (56 k modem!). :(

Much improved!...but a few sound issues remain...I'm not sure what you can do, but there's noise/aliasing/loop pt.s/I'm not sure what in the 5 range still on E organ(very pronounced), sine, Rhodes 73k, vox cont., and CX3 sets 1, 6, and 7.
I hear loop pt. ticks in CX3 set2 and MM Triangle...
And there's a strange anomoly that happens specifically on G5 in MS20 saw, MS pulse 90, and OM12...

Though I'm bringing these up I do hear the improvements! I don't know if these slipped through the cracks or what, but I think you're very close to having this all sorted...

Can anyone else hear any of the specific ones I mentioned?

I'll check everything again tonite once I get home from work. I'll see if I can hear what you're hearing Ford.

I will check here. Just keep in mind one thing, at very high ranges, like C5 and up, most sounds are not usable, and they will have a bit of aliasing, there is nothing we can do on that. But as for clicks, here I checked all files, and not a single one had a loop point that didn't merge properly. I will run some tests here to check if maybe is not a CODE problem instead.
