I had that happen; I installed the most recent 1.6 update and then the 1.7 one worked.

Post

First verify Receptor is updated to 1.6.20070717 before proceeding. If yes then most likely it's corrupted download of 1.7, to resolve download 1.7 again. If the problem continues open Reports\Installation Log.txt file and see if it says 1.7 is already installed. If you are unable to resolve this please create a support ticket.

Hi

Thanks for answering. I had 1.6 but not the latest 1.6 version (it was something like 0000600 and I had to install first something like 0000700). I updated to the last 1.6, it worked; then to the 1.7 and it worder all very well!

Lots of thanks!

when trying to upgrade my operating system from 1.6 to 1.7, just dropping the update file on "Drop installers here", my receptor says "1 file failed", in loop. it happens again an again.

i've got everything cheked and ok, so don't know why is the update failing...

can anyone help me in any way? has anyone experienced the same and succeeded?

thanks!
 Hi There!

I got the same problem. There is actually at least two versions of 1.6 software. You should have the latest one installed before 1.7 can be installed. Make sure, that you are running 1.6.20070717 before attempting to install 1.7.

The previous, "too old" 1.6 software version is dated 20070618.

Hopefully that helps!

Will Tools work on XP 64? I've got it working on my 32 Bit machine but not the 64. I was planing on handling all my midi on the 32 Bit machine and all the audio on the 64. Tools Loaded on the 64 machine but it doesn't pickup my receptor and when I plug in it's address I can't open the remote or the drive. all three are pluged into a gigabite switch but the 64 is a nogo so far.

OK,I was able to get remote to work on my XP64 machine but I had to goe into C\ Programs\ Muse Receptor\ Receptor...in this folder I found the remote Icon, a folder named http. and an icon called VS tite. I clicked that Icon and it came up with a screen showing the adrress I gave my receptor and a place to put a password??? I evetually put in the rignt pass word (Receptor-1) and yahoo, I've got my remote up and running. It seems to be working my Recepter responds to what I do in settings It even enables uniwire for a second then goes back to disabled. Wich brings up my new problem. How do I get Uniwire to work. Maybe it's not loaded and I need a down load I duno
A minor scale is a major scale starting 3 half steps down from the major and visa versa. Any Chord has as many versions as it has notes.

    From the documentation:

New Feature - Automatic UniWire Enabling:
Previously, if you wanted to use Receptor with UniWire, you would need to go to Setup view and manually turn on the Enable UniWire option. Now, with the release of Receptor v1.6, you do not need to do this. Receptor will automatically enable UniWire if you instantiate a UniWire plugin in your host sequencer (or launch a sequence containing UniWire plugins). Similarly, if UniWire was automatically turned on in this way, it will automatically be turned off (within 30 seconds) when all UniWire plugins are uninstantiated or the connection is lost with the host sequencer. This makes UniWire operation even more seamless within your studio environment.

    Hope this helps.

yep that happend to me and I was pissed!.
it took me 3 days to get it fixed.
I had to delete all the FAILDED files from the updates, do a bank reset thingy? and turn off the receptor.
then start again....when its updating it looks like its stuck but its not just walk away and go do something

I have problems with a user with an older Receptor. Memorymoon crashes on his machine. From the error messages it seems like a Microsoft Runtime files error.

Does the new update have updated Microsoft runtime files?

I had the same problem - it was due to the fact my 1.6 version wasn't the latest. Make sure to update your system to 1.6.20070717 beofre trying 1.7.
