New Skins?

I've been following a thread today where there are some great Sylenth 1 skins posted. Would it be possible for Sylenth 1's graphics files to be made available outside the .dll like Pentagon 1 for example? It just has a folder called "skin" inside the main folder that contains all the .bmps etc. This would make changing Sylenth 1 skins much easier without the need to mess about with a Res Hacker. Just a thought and a feature request.

i thought a saw a different thread earlier about skins, but i can't seem to find it again. anyways, i was tinkering with the demo skin:

prolly not nearly as good as the ones I saw before, plus I couldn't change the colors of the fonts in the sylenth screen..
anyways, i kinda dropped it, but maybe I'll pick it back up after I buy it and upload one for everyone...

Looks really slick but the Red would burn my eyes after awhile.

Actually, this is an immense improvement over the default GUI (IMO). The red is a bit "hot", but overall I really like what you've done with it.

Thanx, yeah, the red is way too hot. I've been using Photoshop since the first version came out. When I buy the Sylenth, I'll open the images in photoshop and fines the look. The red will look like red LCD's/OLED's when I'm done with it. Maybe even have a few different options. Its really just a rough draft right now. But anyways, I do like the ones I saw in the other thread. I really like the glowing knobs, it helps me to see where everything is at a glance.
BTW, does anyone know which MIDI CC send the bank changes, I know preset changes are usually set to MIDI CC 32.
I can't wait to get my hands on this BEAST. I'll upload some "Ops" modified presets a few weeks after I get it.

I made 2 skins for myself. This is for Sylenth VST on MAC.
I don't know if the resources folder can be used with the Windows version. Perhaps someone can verify that.
Anyway, nothing spectacular, but hopefully someone else will get some use out of these 2 skins.

The top skin is "Minimal", and the bottom one is "Army".

These were not an attempt to compete with Scotts amazing skins, -I just did them for myself, and thought I would share!

sounds great. i really would like to see a very functional, minimal, reduced kind of skin. maybe 2d, ableton inspired, with very clear displays and knob positions. this would make things a lot easier, when you need to look at the UI in rehearsal or live situations.Lennard wrote:The next update will be skinnable and will included several skins to choose from, so you can easily switch between them!

+1 for sober-minded designs in the collection.fas1piano wrote:very functional, minimal, reduced kind of skin. maybe 2d, ableton inspired, with very clear displays and knob positions.
@Condra: not bad, like the color palettes.

Now these are rather nice... I haven't really like any other user made skins besides these so far.
