Correct, the higher the pot value the brighter the tone as the resonant peak shifts.

You'd be surprised at how Les Paul-like my ash body strat sounds with Lil' 59's. I wouldn't be surprised if Seymour Duncan voiced the pickup specifically for that effect.

My RG420 has had its bridge "fixed" but I didn't notice it change the sound all that much.

Its not to open it up but rather to allow a little bit more high's through at the neck but as i said the bridge postition will sound like shit (1 meg yes you could use, but it wouldn't get any brighter which i am talking about because a neck bucker as your main pickup is usually a bit too dull IMO)

When you have the chance to compare a 6120 and a Falcon this effect becomes really obvious, extremely similar guitars apart from the scale, very different feel and tone.

Just a quick post: we got a letter from Seymour Duncan saying that they're coming out with a Hot Stack Plus at NAMM. The description of it sounds very cool. Has anyone tried the Classic Stack Plus yet?
