Mine is doing great, I use it everyday. I don't need a plugin version, having the real thing. :D

still working on it, stuck on the vibrato effects right now which are easy enough to emulate. Im trying, probably too hard, to get the sound and values 1:1 with a real vortex.

To be honest one of the things I'm trying to do with the plugin version is make the programming a bit easier. Spinning 2 knobs all day long (on the original) is frankly not my idea of fast & easy programming.

Great to hear. I can't wait, since my Vortex is at the studio, and I want to play with those effects at home as well.

Just a little update to say that I am still working on an emulation in SM, definitely not a small task. I was thinking about releasing a small, morphable delay-only type version of it whilst I continue coding/building each of the individual effects. Let me know if anyone is interested otherwise I will just concentrate on completing the other pieces.

looking forward to your emulation,i would be interested in a delay only version in the meantime though :D

I'm really looking forward to this, and a smaller delay would be cool.

My bandmate, a master of analog gear, a luthier, & general handy guy - but computer illiterate - just scored a Vortex & I love it as much as I imagined I would ever since it first came out.

But I am trying to keep all of my gear in the software realm (plus he won't let me have it).

I used to own a Vortex and have spent many years kicking myself for selling it—every time I see one on ebay I think "should I...?" and then, for one reason or another, decide that surely there is something better out there.

IMO the Vortex is pretty unique, you can do the wierdest semi-FM-ringmod-cascading-delay-chorus-flange-crystalline morphs with it. That said, if you use ableton live, you CAN create audio racks including massive effects chains and then route multiple parametres to a single knob—doing this, I have achieved similar (mind you: "similar") effects with the added bonus that everything is recordable/automatable/tweakable.
