Thanks for pointing that out. I mistakenly went back to an earlier version of the GUI, one before adding the smaller bypass button and label. I definitely want those.Shabdahbriah wrote: This looks "perfect", though I too prefer the smaller (and labeled) "bypass" button.
I need to be more careful with my file names.

I'm using a metallic texture. It looks like there's at least one smudge on the texture in that area. Maybe that's what giving it a depressed look?Hlis93 wrote:I really like it. Its just that one thing in the pic keeps getting me. Between the dry and mix label the shading looks off, like the area is depressed from the rest of the surface.

Good suggestion. The blue boxes look much better with less saturation.TRN76 wrote: Maybe you should dim down the blue color (less saturation) lcd just a bit,
How can I make them look less plastic? They need more of a glowing effect. Plastic/metal is easy for me, but anything glassy or glowy is tough.and use the "less plastic" red led's and I think you are done...
EDIT: Maybe like this:

(I also tried to integrate several of the other suggestions)

You added the plastic-leds on the other suggestion.. that is why I mention the "plast" againLeslie Sanford wrote:How can I make them look less plastic? They need more of a glowing effect. Plastic/metal is easy for me, but anything glassy or glowy is tough.
Anyways, I got a knobman file for you here you can try and abuse and tweak as you want.

I gotcha. I read your post too quickly. Anyway, I think I got a more "glowy" look by turning up the ambient property.TRN76 wrote: You added the plastic-leds on the other suggestion.. that is why I mention the "plast" again
Heh, now that I look at the LEDs, I'm worried that they're too big. But you gotta stop somewhere.
Thanks! I will play around with it.Anyways, I got a knobman file for you here you can try and abuse and tweak as you want.

Hi guys, here's one i made yesterday, i hope you like it.
I used a lot of reverse lighting which means that first you make a fill-circle, set the lighting to 50 and then you duplicate the layer, change the circle to a circle outline, adjust the width and zoom and then you set the lighting to -50 to get a 3d effect. (Values are just an example)
There's two metal disk layers, the higher one is moving, the lower one stays still, chose which one you prefer.

You are free to use this knob any way you like, redistribute it, edit it, change it, use it in your free or commercial synths. You can credit me (Theo Krueger) if you like, if you don't want to, you don't have to credit me.
I'll make some more these days. Feedback appreciated.
Thanks to the developer: g200kg for making Knobman.
Cheers,
Theo.
