Sylenth1 can produce pretty much all of these sounds and many many more. Nexus is a rompler; it's sample based so you are limited to the sounds that come with it. Sylenth1 however is a synthesizer and the possibilities in sound shaping are therefore endless. I'd say especially for music styles like in the mp3 you posted Sylenth1 will be favourable in most cases.thebutcher wrote:When Sylenth can produce all these sounds.

Sylenth1 is obviously the shit. But I can understand if someone is looking for INSTANT results, that Nexus soundbank for electro basses ain't bad at all. As a matter of fact, it sounds awesome, I've heard practically every electro bass in that demo. Not to mention, the filters, layering and what not, so a lot of new sounds are capable as well from that rompler. Sylenth is still the shit though.

Give a man a fish and he'll eat a day.
Teach a man how to fish and he'll eat for a lifetime.

I remember there were some requests for a basic 'quick and dirty' Sylenth1 sounddesign tutorial. Not sure how much time something like that would cost, but I'm sure it's more efficient in the long run than fulfilling all kinds of patch requests
Or maybe a little chapter every now and then on your forums would be a nice way to build your community as well !

Sounds nice, but still has that 'it's a vsti' sound.
A bit like a photograph of the Mona Lisa taken with a mobile phone 1MP camera.
Against real analog synths.... close but no banana.
Against Nexus, yep it nails a lot of the sounds, it's a good contender against the virus for sure.
Oh wait I thought the demo was of Sylenth? I must learn to read the op more carefully. It's a damn good demo, but still sounds like vsti to me
Probably sampled from the virus ti

Hehe. Calling the Nexus soundbank demo 'vsti sound', that is not a big compliment for ReFXSonic Boom Samples wrote:Oh wait I thought the demo was of Sylenth? I must learn to read the op more carefully. It's a damn good demo, but still sounds like vsti to meProbably sampled from the virus ti
