before i begin, i have already tried reinstalling Acidpro6 and Sylenth1 -yes they both are purchased before anyone tries to throw that at me as well.
Acid Pro6 is the only DAW, or whatever else you may wish to call it, i use. I'm using a Dell Inspiron B130 laptop, Window's XP with whatever other specs it came with. I can look it up if necessary.
prior to my current problem, i had made several complete tracks using Sylenth1 (a good 6-8 instances per song, i might add) without really much problem. I purchased Sylenth1 about a month ago. I'm using the most updated version, of course.

so here's the deal:

i was working on a project and then ACID Pro6 either crashed or i just closed it, honestly i don't remember, and when i opened it back up, it said that it could not load the VSTI i was using (Sylenth1 *surprise!*) because it 'either could not be found or did not load properly.'

Exhibit A: Image

i am still able to reload the Sylenth1 instances into the project and use them for the duration the window is open. once i close the project, even on the event that ACID doesn't crash, and then reopen, i'm back to the dialog box telling me it can't load sylenth1. this does not occur for any other VSTi that i use.

however, when i tried just loading one instance back into the project, saved, closed, and opened back up... miraculously, the single instance stays. if i tried to add any more however, well, you get the picture - i'm trying not to be too terribly redundant here.

i have noticed that when i load Sylenth in ACID, for the first instance, the info appears normal.

Image

however, when i begin to load more than one instance now, the VSTi info appears to have a faulty character in the 'vendor' info.

Image

whether or not this is significant, i do not know. the problem, i believe, lies within ACID not Sylenth1, but quite honestly i don't know what to do and no one else seems to be able to answer me.

help, please! :D

...............

on a second note, but not as pressing at the moment,
ACID likes to give me a ReWireDLL failure message --

.\Portable\ReWireDLL.cpp(895): VERIFY failure

--and crash when i already have Sylenth1 loaded and try to switch to another VSTi (or if i just try to reload sylenth1 again without removing it first) through the Edit Softsynth option.

this has happened quite a few times and as long as I'm here and i'm on the subject i think its worth mention.

I really can't offer any suggestions, but to date, running ACID Pro on 2 different computers (1 XP, 1 Vista), I have NEVER gotten a VSTi to load. VST effects are fine, but the instruments aren't even listed, even though they're in the same folder as the effects.

My point is that there probably is something wrong with ACID, not Sylenth1. I've posted questions on ACIDPlanet's forums, but no one has ever responded. You might have better luck.

i've posted at ACIDplanet, (get plenty of responses, just they don't know what's up either) as well as SonyCreativeSoftware forums (no response)....

and now im here haha.

but yes, i do believe this could be an ACID problem but as it is only occuring with Sylenth1 with me, and also occuring just recently, i'm a bit more concerned.
other than this, however, i'm quite impressed with Sylenth1. :)

Hi, that seems pretty strange indeed. So you're saying that it worked fine before but at a certain moment it stopped working? Any idea what could have caused that?

Can you send me the exact version+build number of Acid Pro and Windows XP you are using? And also details about your hardware (CPU, soundcard).

actually, i think i might've fixed the loading problem! :)

looking back, it seems somehow the media manager for ACID Pro6 (comes with it) got enabled, which i've heard for forever that it is a piece of junk and hadn't remembered installing it, but somehow it was there..... and so i tried uninstalling that and managed to keep my instances of Sylenth1 loaded in the projects i've tried so far. i am going to keep monitoring it to make sure this is in fact fixed, and i will certainly let you know if anymore problems arise.

good to know that you monitor this forum, btw :)

however, i do still find the rewire problem when trying to switch from Sylenth1 to another VSTi through the 'Edit SoftSynth' option, even if it's just reloading Sylenth1 on top of itself... see, i'm not using rewire at all, nor have i ever tried, it just labels the problem as:

.\Portable\ReWireDLL.cpp(895): VERIFY failure

here is the detailed version of the 'exception' it gives me:
