And being able to erase notes via right click, like in FL would be nice.

Unless I missed something, could you add forward/back buttons on the vsti interface to scroll through presets? Intsead of having to click options, then choose program. The less traveling through menus the better imo.

It takes two clicks to pop up the vst program chooser.VSTJuNkiE wrote:Unless I missed something, could you add forward/back buttons on the vsti interface to scroll through presets? Intsead of having to click options, then choose program. The less traveling through menus the better imo.![]()
Then you can scroll up/down with mouse and keyboard to choose the program you want.
In MU.LAB right-clicks are preserved to pop up the context menu. And being able to erase notes via right click, like in FL would be nice.
If you want to delete a note, you can select it and press [Delete] or [Backspace].
Or alt-click on the start or end of the note. You'll see that the mouse cursor switches to a gum then.

A feature of Cakewalk sequencers since the their beginning that I find useful is the Fit Imrovisation command where a midi performance recorded without click is made to fit into a standard bar grid. You tap (or construct) a click track that conforms to the performance beat, and then the command inserts tempo changes so that events line up on bar and beat boundaries but the actual performance still sounds the same (or very similar).
Would be useful to have in Mulab.

Still learning the workflow (whatever that means
Still, it would be better IMO to just click forward/back buttons for preset changes a la FL. No clicks to get to presets.
One more ? Does the free version do multi-out vst's?
Thx in advance.

Do you find it difficult?VSTJuNkiE wrote:Still learning the workflow (whatever that means) of the free version, this helps though.
If yes, what was difficult to learn?
Yes, i agree. It's on the whishlist.Still, it would be better IMO to just click forward/back buttons for preset changes a la FL. No clicks to get to presets.![]()
Yes.One more ? Does the free version do multi-out vst's?
If a multi-out is plugged in a rack, then the main out automatically goes to the next rack slot, and you can connect the other outs via right-click on plug -> "Connect Alt Outs".
If a multi-out is plugged in the MPA, then you'll see all outputs there, and you can connect them to whatever plug you want

I'll hafta put more time into the free version to fully come up with an answer.
One immediate thing that is sorta aggrevating, for ME at least, is the fact that u can't use your qwerty keyboard to play notes like in FL. IMO this should be standard or "outta the box" so to speak.
That would help me anyway.
Thx for your time. Later

Another one that would definitely need to be a user preference. I'd hate this!VSTJuNkiE wrote:One immediate thing that is sorta aggrevating, for ME at least, is the fact that u can't use your qwerty keyboard to play notes like in FL. IMO this should be standard or "outta the box" so to speak.

That's why I said "for ME" and not "Everyone"pljones wrote:Another one that would definitely need to be a user preference. Not everyone has a MIDI controller. BUT, if someone wants to get ME one I would'nt complain.

When opening a project from another drive after moving / copying it, once the first find file prompt has been answered with a directory, I'd like to see MuLab search that directory for the remaining files, only prompting if it can't find them there.

When drawing a sequence, would it be possible to move 'New' to the top of the list? After a project with a lot of takes, once I'd given up trying to play the part and decided to draw it instead I found I had to scroll down miles to get to the option.

How about "Double Left Click" to Delete a Note. That's fast and practical and it seems not to have any interference with the current actions in MuLab...Yet.mutools wrote:In MU.LAB right-clicks are preserved to pop up the context menu.
