No special offer, but a breathtaking new tool to play with during christmas holidays ... Consequence!
We also have quite good discounts if you buy more products at once,
so there's special prices all the time
Best

the market is tuff right now, I would of thought some price breaks would be cool, consider offering a free plugin of choice with the release of consequence. %10 discount on a 2nd plugin is not exactly a major saving is it.

The market is tough for developers right now as well. Consider buying a plugin from your favorite developer at full MSRP, and help them put food on the table.

don't you worry.
if rico made a buy one get one free over the holidays he will make some money, people are more likely to buy at a lower price or if they get a bonus.
but not everyone is going to jump on a $199 plug in.. trust me.
your idea of "support the poor developer" is a nice one.. but not a realistic one I am afraid.

i agree. for developers except majors like apple or native instruments it's not so easy to give such big discount. anyone has to live from something. i have wow, artillery and effectrix and they're worth each cent. and they are not so expensive at all. you get good quality for a good price.

if you decide to change your mind and make some extra sales over the xmas holiday you may want to post in this thread.

+1 to xmas deals..sell more units for less = more money (manufacturing costs are low per unit) More units out = more exposure. More exposure = either crash and burn or even more units than would have been sold before exposure.
I would assume the entire market won't be tapped out by giving sweet deals for a week?
But yeah,200 bucks for Consequence seems a bit steep to me even though I gotta have it...!
Just my 2cents

I think maybe sugar bytes is trying to appeal to a small market for some reason, i guess the only plus side of that is minimal support.
it would be interesting to see a poll on who would actually buy sugar bytes products if the prices where half of what they are now.

I'd love to get Consequence, but 200 is just too much for me right now....topaz wrote:I think maybe sugar bytes is trying to appeal to a small market for some reason, i guess the only plus side of that is minimal support.

might be interesting, but...:topaz wrote:...it would be interesting to see a poll on who would actually buy sugar bytes products if the prices where half of what they are now.
...
EVERYONE would be more interested in lower prices... and it's really easy to *say* you'd buy something if it were a lower price if you were answering a poll, but how many of the folks that said they'd buy if it were cheaper WOULD actually buy if it were cheaper.
There is no good way to know.
That said- if SB were doing a substantial Christmas sale I would definitely be interested in Unique ('tis on the short list
but alas, I'm tapped out this Christmas season

___ Funny, I just bought both Unique and Consequence today. My birthday is the 20th, and I tried so hard to wait... But I failed...
( Unique has the most KILLER TONE!! )

Didn't these guys just offer a decent sale, plus a generous competition too?
I'm still kicking myself for not sending in a picture, because after seeing what won their "all-bundle" package, it seemed like it could have gone to anyone.
I think they offered 20% or 25% off just for submitting a picture.
Oh well... maybe next time.
As for the sales, I think folks should just be happy enough with a response from the developer...
They've been smart enough to stay in business, even through this crazy economy that I really doubt they need someone to show them the light on how to increase sales.
