ok got it all and installed.... np on the size and dl times here.... LOL.... faster than many things I normally deal with, but ... hey, I'm a patient man...
I am hearing some sample prob's tho... just on a very fast first running ...
hmmmm editing my post: what I thought I heard was wrong... but... I did finally hear the sine wav click but not consistently... and I can't always repeat it... was getting it on middle C, IF that was the first note struck... but upon re-striking it no click... then if some other random notes are played... only sometimes will I hear the click... it almost seems to be something to do with how the samples are being loaded or held in memory????
ok back into it... wish I could get a look at a few wav files, just to better see what this looks like in the loop points...

NEW BETA UPDATE 21
Good news, thanxs to DevonB, Ford and other users help, I found a glitch on my Interpolation code. I won't explain too much, since is hard to explain, but it was my mistake.
And it should fix most click problems. If you still hear a click, please, tell me with instrument and key, so I can check the WAV file. I will be checking some of DevonB files anyway, and Luigi is allready doing that. But so far most problems are fixed just by the code update of Beta V21. No need to download the complete, just the update.
Again, thanxs for such superb beta tests, it really helped us out!
Best Regards, WilliamK

Hey William,
Just checked it out. The only one that was fixed was the Minimoog Triangle, which was just off by a hair. The rest sound like actual problems with the sample though from my list.
Also, for grins
I did check out CP70B with my guitar/bass tuner, and it's showing that it's flat. Fender Bass on the other hand is in tune.
Nice to have a machine that's telling me that I'm not crazy!
I just really like that sound so much, but it's out of tune!

Hit a C1 and a C2 together. Then hit a C1 G1 together. Doesn't that sound out to your ears too? It sounds like C2 and down is out of tune. Going up from there is fine, and in tune. Like a G0 and G1 just sound very out.WilliamK wrote:That's a shame. I tested here CP70 with MuseBook and is tuned, but it has a variation. Maybe I should tune by hand.![]()

I just checked it again, the problem is that teh CP70 is an emulation, not a real piano, they added too much chorus on the note (variation of the pitch) that's why it sounds off tune, but is not exactly off tune.
I will check that better.
Also, we are still checking your complete list, we will solve all problems.
Best Regards, WilliamK

I just uploaded a file called "EVE Updated Data for V21.exe" run this and it will uncompress 2 DASHsnd files, move to the proper locations (Waveforms and Organs)
This fixes the B3 problem that had a note wich didn't had an attack and the 8-bit vocals clicking.
Best Regards, WilliamK and Luigi Felici (Liqih)

Devon, you are right, the CP70 is really madly off tune on lower ranges. Drats, I have to see how I can tune that by ear, since my tuning program won't help me much there.

Devon, I did some tests and I think I got a good tune on CP70 lower keys. I Uploaded an updated file. Could you test and let me know if the tuning is good now?

Devon, Luigi fixed Trident Strings B.DASHsnd file, I just uploaded a new update for it.
Latter I will compile all DASHsnd files again into a single install. For now let's check one by one first.

Still sounds off, but sounds on? Very weird. What I'm doing is playing notes that are a perfect fifth apart. Like the C1 doesn't sound so flat anymore, But play it with G1, and there's still the dissonance. Play a C3/G3. Sounds good. Play a C2/G2. Sounds a TINY bit 'warbly', but it's probably chorus. Play a C1/G2, and it sounds out still. Now play a G2/D3, sounds good, and it didn't before.WilliamK wrote:Devon, I did some tests and I think I got a good tune on CP70 lower keys. Hope I'm not just being too picky, but I know I'm not going to be the only one to notice it.

Better, not perfect, but much better. I doubt you'll get that one perfect. I've done looping before, and I know what you're up against with a sound that varies like that. You can beat your head against a wall for hours and get nowhere, or live with it. Least it doesn't sound that bad now in comparison. It might sound better with a longer looping point, but without it in front of my face, I can't tell. Still, it does sound better.WilliamK wrote:Devon, Luigi fixed Trident Strings B.DASHsnd file, I just uploaded a new update for it.

While checking sounds I muted A and B and discovered C is not getting any MIDI info. Channel 1 is selected and my keyzones are stretched across the board yet no sound is produced when playing either my MIDI controller or the piano roll...

You only trying this on EP-CP70 Velocity? If so, SLAM your hand on the keyboard to get channel C to work. Velocity for that channel needs to see 124 before it'll play anything.Ford Prefect wrote:While checking sounds I muted A and B and discovered C is not getting any MIDI info. I don't know what I did...but I can't repeat it so...
Maybe more high wierdness from solar flares, the moon, etc...
BTW I know what sample players do to the samples, but did you think the repaired sounds were short in the high end?
