I'm just curious if this device (or the Receptor family) is truly ideal or not to do the heavy lifting as I say above. BUT maintaining it all in the pristine digital world.
What you are talking here about is using this device as a DSP host, it is not.
It is purely a hardware device for VSTi or effects processing VST's.

The V-Rack will have this feature as it will stream thru cat5. Mid next year my friend.

hmmm I am not sure I understand what you want to do here, if you have a VSTi which you are using live why would you want to record it into Logic... If you mean in a studio situation, then I understand the question.

BANK (which has all the banks in it) and PLUGS (which has the plugin and plugin information on it)

MINIMOSTA is very simple, it works on a stick without any issues,

just copy the Bank and PLugs into the stick.
thank you Danny, so it sounds like I must first import the MiniMonsta plugin into VFX so it creates the Bank and Plugs directories, afterwards I can copy those dirs into my USB Stick, I guess V-Machine is looking for that directory structure and the the info in the banks directory... ??

Anyway to just copy the .DLL file to the stick ? would the V-Machine recognize that ? I tried and it did not see the VSTs on the root of the stick...

Grateful thanks....

You must have this directory structure on your stick as above.

Great, but:

You wrote, that this VFXinfo only works with the trial from the website, and that the FULLVERSION of Tassman "also works with vmachine".

But how??!! Please specify. As far as I know, Tassman uses challenge response registration.

O.k., I have my serial here: What do I have to do now?

Cheers,
Bjoern

Nice synth sounds and articulations.
I'd sure like to hear some big sampled sounds though.

We do it thru VNC, we setup the v-machine as a computer and connect to a network, but it is the our preffered method it is just a method for checking and testing, it is too complex for users to do it this way although we will set some info about this shortly.

ok, just a question, what do you regard as a BIG sampled sound.
Obviously any sound in Sample Tank will work the same way.

o.k., I'll wait.... :(

BTW: Some people here in germany may stuck with problems with the vfx-infos, because they often include a link to the "PROGRAMS"-folder. Here, the folder is called "C:\Programme" ....

Because of this the link has to be modified here on german pc's ...

Both scenarios are known limitations of current firmware(perhaps new features). It doesn't obey the INC/DEC messages on learned presets, and doesn't "inc three times if you skip three".
Well, let's not call them new features, they are not very good. I'd call them bugs. :)
Hope they will get fixed soon!
Thank you.

Bugs? Well, we are trying to get as much support/features into the product as we can, if we did include this feature and it did not work then it is a bug. In any case, we are going thru a long list of wishes and I promise you it is on our list. :-)

@ Danny:

No you misunderstand me! I didn't mean to be harsh!
I love the V-Machine and I'm pleasantly surprised of the good support work you are doing!
I just wanted to point out an issue to you so it can be patched.
Sorry for the misunderstanding!

I'm not sure I follow here...but are you saying that it isn't possible to select a specific patch with a single external program change? I hope that this is a misunderstanding, because if it's true it surely is a huge limitation. Stepping through patches one by one takes a lot of time since I still struggle with load times of about 3 seconds per patch change. The manual says that each plugin will load only once, but so far my experience is that selecting a previously already loaded patch requires the same load time as selecting it for the first time.

And btw, the manual available online still is v1.0 and is not up to date with the latest firmware. When will it be updated?

Another btw, I'm impressed by the quick support in this thread. Many questions answered already. Keep up the good work, Danny! :)
