When I put the MIDI out+c on a track I only get "Song Position: x" message. Nothing else. Is this suppose to happen or am I doing something wrong
?
Also, with regards to MIDI Monitor is there a way to change the default colors? I tend to use my monitors at low brightness. This makes it impossible to read the display.
Thnx again.

it should have one. in fact, i can't see why it doesn't, so there must be something set up wrong on the computer i compiled it on. the one i compiled earlier at home was correct.Optomadic wrote:Cool! Thnx for that piz.
I've gotta ask though, what was the reasoning behind not adding a normal MIDI out (for connecting within the host)?

With regards to our previous convo. Is there a possibility you could add:
"F2 01 00 (song position pointer)
FB (continue)
F8 (midi clock)
...
FC (stop)"
(I guess F2 is already implemented
?
Let me know.
Thnx

where are you seeing that? on host playback it should send song position, then continue, then midi clock until the host stops.Optomadic wrote:When I put the MIDI out+c on a track I only get "Song Position: 9" message. Nothing else. Is this suppose to happen or am I doing something wrong?
the first three sliders on the top are hue, saturation, and brightness. with saturation down and brightness up, it would be black text on white, for example. Also, with regards to MIDI Monitor is there a way to change the default colors? in my testing, this is what it sends now. how are you testing it? the other messages must be getting blocked somewhere.Optomadic wrote:"F2 01 00 (song position pointer)

i uploaded a new version of midiOut with MIDI Clock:
Windows: http://thepiz.org/xt/midiOut+clock.zip
Mac: http://thepiz.org/xt/midiOut+clock.vst.zip
it has a midi output to the host, and a checkbox to disable sending midi to the host.
i've successfully used this to sync reaper as well as audiomulch... i think the timing is solid but i can't test it with external hardware.

In the giving spirit of XXXmas (and having extra time on my hands due to said holiday) I hammered in some more scale presets for midiForceToKey. I only entered in scales rooted in C (as you can transpose them externally if needed). Included are all standard scale types and several "exotic" scale types. Download here as an .FXB:

Oh, I have a request:
I'm trying to duplicate some of the functionality of midiStrum natively in Plogue Bidule using its stock math and midi modules. Insertpizhere, could you explain some of the math behind the variables and how they intermodulate and mebbe link me to downloadable source code for the plugin? I'm specifically interested in Speed, Max Time, VelToSpeed, VelRamp, and Accel.
Thanks!
