Well, since the door is an illusion as well, it should be a nice lesson for the adept to

1.) meditate on the mantra "there is no door" for some hours.
2.) find it nevertheless.
3.) get it open (well, finding the keys is an illusion anyway, isn't it?).

Then the actual decission of throwing or not throwing comes easy ;-)

Cheers,

Thomas

Hmmm I always had this problem with Zebra disrespecting my mouse buttons. I still use left-handed mouse but now I do not see the problem with Uhbik. Maybe it is because I have switched to using Logitech's Setpoint software instead of windows mouse driver. I also use Reaper 2.99 now. Anyway I hope this can help you and/or Urs diagnose the issue.

The Uhbik-plugs does not care that I have set up my mouse for left handed usage
So I keep getting this midi learn menu all the time.
Tested in Reaper 2.53

I'm probably going to by this just for the runciter. It got some real nice distortion in it.
Mmmmm Distortion. :D

Urs,

Why is the pattern matrix in Uhbik-T from top 0 tot bottom 100
When tweaking the (wave) pattern knob the movement is up with the knob, but down in the matrix. To me it feels counter intuitive and even odd.

The function is freaking cool, I still have to try controlling it via a physical knob, that is going to me fun!

There was a poster in this thread calling himself "Mr. Preset". I think i'm his twin brother 'cause i love creative presets from developers who are in music *and* software.

But this stuff - more than beta, almost more than RC 1 or 2 - is the first bunch of effects i've ever bought (or leached;-) that knocks me off with virgin but fantastic simple GUIs and nothing more than knobs/buttons to kittenish give them a shot. And now i'm under my earphones for the next 3 days or so

PS: Automap Universal works pretty good and for the first time in my Novation history it works really smooth. That's a double thump up for live performance.

Can't wait for the "X-File"... :D :D :D

Will it be possible to modulate for example the phaser phase or spectrum with the pattern modulation in the tremolo via Uhbik-X? Or will there be something like the pattern modulation inside Uhbik-X?

Wetting myself by imagining the possibility's

Something along these lines, sure!

The modulations in X however are global, they do not feature any "channel offset" parameters.

What do you think?
Very nice! I was playing with Uhbik-A last night. This would have come in a little handy, although I think this is one of the easier ones to figure out and not knowing a few details is still okay when playing with it. Runciter, though, has that knob labeled "envelope" (but the info window says it's modulation) that does... something. I know how turning it affects the sound, I just don't know why.

Surely there must be consensus by now...

But can the offset be set at effect-level?
Could offsets be set different for effects? (is offset a kind of modulation delay in stereo?)

The channel offset refers to the lfo phase in the flanger, tremolo and phaser, which can be different for each channel. This makes the stereo sound. You still have this in X, but the lfos in X can only affect knobs of other Uhbiks in a monphonic fashion. Nevermind, it's going to be beyond the ordinary anyway.

Slowly making my way through several issues:

fix mono processing (silence bug) - done :)
fix ScrollWheel on knobs - done :)
fix crackles on flanger's AutoMix - done :)
enable surround in DP - probably :?:
enable pure stereo in Live - not yet, is part of bigger improvement
fix failure message in OS X installer - probably :?:
exchange rate vs tempo in Uhbik-D -> is called speed now :)
add label "Gain Law" in Uhbik-T -> done :)
fix strange problem with confused LED in D - working on it
write manual - still in translation, but looks good

So I basically need another day or two for official pre-release. So it'll stay at $99 for another 36 hours or so :-o

Cheers,

;) Urs

Hello Urs,

sounds great - just to be sure ... you know and probably fixed the bug that UHBIK F does not save settings with DP 6.01 (PPC G5, OSX Tiger)? (no problems in Logic Pro 7.2x)
All the others seem fine

hope that helps

best

No?

I don't think this can be blamed on F. The code is literally the same for all plugins, apart from the actual process - which has nothing to do with preset or parameter handling. I could imagine problems with A because it uses an extra feature (I call it "cascaded presets", it's invisible to users), but F? Why would F be treated different from P?

Still waiting for MotU to contact me though.

;) Urs
