I played around for a while with the library. There are a lot of cool ideas in it, and I love the idea of putting them together as a 4 bar loop with variations. Sometimes the loops seemed a bit too busy , as were the drums (I was hoping for a bit more "basic" building blocks + just the basic drum groove to "get the picture", so I can add my own fills), to build an arrangement with more instruments around them. But still useable, and most importantly, inspiring. Thank you for that! I also noticed that it was quite hard to get a decent sound with Addictive Drums, although I mapped all midi notes correctly. But it sounded fine with your free jazz kit for Kontakt!Gregjazz wrote:My pleasure! There will be many more, and for all the CoreBass Cherry libraries.willynanita wrote:Thanks for the loops Greg!!!
I like the clean and "shapeable" sound a lot and, most of all, the easy playability. In fact, I just decided to buy the third and last one of your bass libraries (the slapped version), which I am downloading right now. I'm really looking forward to the loop library for the picked and the slapped version, which I find hardest to come up with own ideas, so I will be grateful for starting points.
If the loop library will be updated and completed for all bass libraries, there is only one thing left for me to wish for, and that would be the replacement of several out-of-tune samples in the lowest register. I only get to sound them right with Autotune set to extreme settings, which unfortunately "flattens" the sound noticeably with the rest of the notes. It is no problem at all if I correct them manually, but I'd be glad to save the time
All in all, this is a great product for the first release.
Merry Christmas !
