For those of you that dont know about this joke, well on YouTube there has been lots of various type of videos which would lure people to look at the video. Normally the video start of normal but after af few secs then this tune and the video starts.

First time i saw it was with some videos of players playing world of warcraft and then all the sudden Rick would take over the scene. First time you think.. wtf... next time hmmm and third time then you get it and laugh, well i did. :hihi:

Never gonna give you up, he just keep on coming back, like me :hihi:

I've been using Zebra pretty much to do everything lately. I've found it to be so efficient, I can get 20 or so running in Logic on my 2.2 Macbook. I'm using a LOT of the Oldskool and Howard's sounds lately. Pretty easy to come up with cool stuff... This is one I just worked on. I really liked the "spaghetti western" sound in your soundset. :)

Nice organizational job there Michael! I know it wasn't posted here in this thread but you gotta add Zebra funk one zircon teased us with.

Hi all,

I composed a short "song" using presets generated from Urs's randomize script. I hope you enjoy it: Random Musings. All presets used were randomly generated. Oh what fun! (I also posted a link to this song in the Randomize topic -- I hope that's OK.)

Heh heh wonderful weirdness :) The mix seems a bit low to me and i know its important with the dynamics you've made but was wondering if the mix can benefit from a tad of maximizing and limiter. Too much and it will ruin the ambience you created but i think its worth a try.

Ah! You're good! Yes, it's low to accomodate the dynamics. Btw Michael, some of the sounds were derived from your presets -- probably altered beyond recognition though. Thanks for listening! :D

Hi,

I've just finished a little song called The Beauty of Nature, my first finished song ever :). It uses 7 instances of Zebra with different Ambient patches from the OldSkool and AfterSkool soundsets.
I also used a limiter but since I've never used any before it might be total sh*t ;). Any comments welcome.

Thanks to Michael Kastrup for the patches :hail:

I manage 10 seconds (max.) of most tracks I find on the Internet. I listened to all of your peaceful track... :) Good use of Michael's soundscapes.

Here is my comment, a bit late thou... In short, you played those sounds in a way as i often do at late nite sessions. That was beautiful :)

Lately i've been working on a new formular for accoustic snare, i like them dry so i took one for a ride in a small arrangement, its not finished, need to come up with a more accoustic kick.

Everything is straight out of Zebra and exciter/limiter on the master:

Nice dark soundscape you produced there :) I can almost see stuff crawling around in the sewers heh heh

Today I've been playing around with an old patch from the oldskool soundset, its called Breeze String. I knew it had some orchestral hidden within it but i did not have time to pursue it then. So today i decided to give it a closer look to see what excatly needed to done to make it more playable while keeping the orchestral mood.

So here is a rework of that patch, still using 1 FM osc for the first sequence, second sequcene is 3 FM osc's stacked and third sequence is a midi snippet of some Mozart thing i grapped from the net playing the first patch.

The lows could be more defined but well... 1 FM osc.... cant cover it all and i love simplicity :)
