Finally I had some time today to check the 2.x demo to make my buying decision.
I was expecting to like it and very curious for the Jeroen Verheij sounds in particular (I think I read somewhere that Jeroen did some sounds included with the Sylenth or am I wrong?).
Unfortunately there was not a single sound among the demo bank's 128 presets that I found usefull let alone impressive.
Looks like the demo can load banks but I don't have anything except from what came with the demo installer.

Also the 476 buyers (within about 3 weeks) shows how popular it is.

i agree,i was hoping to hear some cool pluck sounds ,more modern type trance leads,but to me, this synth sounds dated.Can anyone tell me if there are sounds onboard the full version that sound like Discover trax like John Askew,bryan kearney,sean tyas etc etc ?

In general I would not recommend judging any synth by presets but I am so much in a hurry and don't have the full skill set or time to test it by programming a few sounds on my own right now - so I can only check the presets and try to get some clues out of that wether or not the sound signature works for me.

The sounds 78 and 121 in the full version only, sound exaclty like the bass (at bars 32 to 64) from the unreleased "Almost there" track from Bryan Askew.

better go have a listen to the other mp3 then.I,m also demoing Gladiator,very nice,easy to program.
Yeah,i just got to have a synth that does a cross between Discovery and Anjuna.The Korg Analog is cool,but doesn,t do it.Vanguard isn,t so great audio quality -wise,nor do i much like V-Station for leads or Z3.Basses are good tho.I just got Imposcar for arps and pads and leads,but i,m still searching for that cool clear arp style sound.Thanx 4 your input.
