This is sounding very positive indeed. If SampleLord gives you this performance, then I assume SFZ will give me the same.ZioKiller wrote:Today I made some more tests with SampleLord and I found out that you can have a max polyphony of 80 notes with no risks of CPU overload, assuming that you're playing only SampleLord with no other effects or instruments in the same preset. If you wish to add a reverb, a chorus or any other external effect, you should reduce the polyphony to 64 notes, which is still acceptable for most playing styles (my good ole Motif 7 has only 62 voices).
For a single box portable sampler, this is superb compared to what I have had available to me up 'til now.
I have already ordered a Roland PK-5a pedal board to trigger this box.

Yeah, I read your post which said there was a new version coming tonight. I'm actually using a firefox addon to scan the differences on the software page once every hour... Sjeesh, I'm such a nerd.
Go ahead, laugh, i deserve it.
Thanks, again!

Just curious: a laptop doesn't have a transpose function, does it? SaviHost doesn't have a transpose, either.VFXAU wrote:I hear you... you will have it, I would say after the xmas break.gBeat2 wrote:aye!!!
I'm waiting for transpose fuction... :help:
By the way, what plugins are you using?
I have always done transpose either on the master keyboard or the plugin itself.

Are you trying to sync the whole machine?gBeat2 wrote:how long is syncronizing?
I need a progress bar or similar to know what is happen in my v-machine...
If the machine is formated it could take like 2 hours on usb cable.
Please use MAKE V-MACHINE and save it to a stick,
it will take 10 minutes

The user probably wants to setup splits or layers in different presets,JazzSinger wrote:Just curious: a laptop doesn't have a transpose function, does it? SaviHost doesn't have a transpose, either.VFXAU wrote:I hear you... you will have it, I would say after the xmas break.gBeat2 wrote:aye!!!

Yes you could easily do it on the plugin itself as well I agree, or if you are using a sampler such as Sample Tank then this is all built in as well.
Normally when you would setup a Hardware Synth, the Tuning and transpose functions may be global, but on a V-Machine each preset basically can load in what ever parameters you want, so things such as Transpose, Tunings etc are per Preset and these parameters can be assigned to controllers as well.

cool, sounds like a great program. As the uploads are from Germany I would estimate around 8-10 hours time from my calculation.appel wrote:Yeah, I read your post which said there was a new version coming tonight. We loaded Yellow Tools Independance Free (onto a HDD as the library is big), super low CPU power as well. Sounds great.JazzSinger wrote:This is sounding very positive indeed. If you don't enjoy what you are doing (especially with music) then may as well not do it. Actually all the Programming guys are in another office, very very different to our product ideas and support office.
I don't dare go there... very scary place... chains and things all around.. Screaming, nashing of teeth, computer screens suddenly fly across the room..

True, true, except maybe in the case of large amounts of money thrown at you, makes it easier to take the pain of a dull daytime gig... My clients are mostly lawyers, not a jolly one in the lot(well, actually the jolly ones don't get much business and close shop quickly), I only get to see them at night when they come out of their coffins, they throw me a bone and retreat... Here is my own homegrown lawyer joke, sadly a true story:VFXAU wrote:If you don't enjoy what you are doing (especially with music) then may as well not do it.
Q-What is more intimidating than meeting with a lawyer?
A-Meeting with four of them and asking them for money !!
Hehehe !!
Sounds so familiar, and the reason I don't code much anymore !!Actually all the Programming guys are in another office, very very different to our product ideas and support office.

Actually all the programmers are really cool guys and are right into music, I don't think you can make a product like this without understanding music.
