Independence 2 free now working on the V-Machine. Download wizard file here..
http://www.kvraudio.com/banks.php?s=dl&id=871
Be quick to download the plugin as the website is sure to run out of bandwidth as this is one great plugin. In fact this is my favourite VSTi plugin as it just sounds better than most other plugins.
Be sure to read the readme file and use the latest firmware and VFX software which as Danny wrote will be 1219 version up soon.
Merry Christmas to everyone.

Please note, if installing on VISTA the path in VFXINFO file is not the same as XP. (APPLICATION DATA etc) so make sure you have the correct path information in the Wizard file. Also Mathew suggested to me to switch off any MULTI CPU support (I think it is in the preferences) The plug runs much better then.

v-machine seems to do so well I am thinking about getting the v-rack.
the 8in/8out functionality would totally replace the computer for me on stage.
did not read all the pages: any info about the release date for the v-rack, any info about cpu/ram?

It will be a as powerful as a PC with interchangeable MB, RAM, CPU etc.(that is the specs we have now) similar screen to the V-Machine but with controls as well as the ability do other things I should not mention
Price.. well I would say over $1500

Guy like yourself and programmers who deal with plugins and hardware are top notch and usually the coolest guys !! I was just kidding, I must say I've worked with some sociopathic types who's only redeeming quality was there were friggin genius programmers, but we locked those in a room and fed them under the door !!VFXAU wrote:Actually all the programmers are really cool guys and are right into music, I don't think you can make a product like this without understanding music.
Very excited by the level of Buzz the V-Machine is generating and the outstanding tech support we have been getting, you guys are the best !!

Hi,Harry_G wrote:I can find the update for the VSX-application but where is the update for the V-machine?
The update is built into the application (PC app) once you install it you connect the V-Machine with the USB cable to the PC and do a firmware update.

Hello VFXAU
-I registered my V-machine yesterday. How do I get Samplitude and Am-track?
-What is the best place to contact SM audio pro for questions and suggestions for new futures.
-I installed the update for the VFX-application. But still no options/preferences, So no way to change the multimediadriver or getting my Nano-controller working with the VFx software.
Happy holidays

is it right that there must be a final line-break in the vfxinfo.txt???
I'm not sure, but in my example I get an error, if where is no break after the last "..."?!
Does the file format PC/UNIX matter?

To get mine I sent an email via support to Sm-Pro, they in turn emailed me the serial for Samplitude SE 9 and explained they have not finished automating the registration. I got an auto-responder on another issue today so it looks like they are closed for the holidays, as they should be !gBeat2 wrote:I registered too. and...?Harry_G wrote:Hello VFXAU

** NOTE !! **
To anyone upgrading the V-Machine firmware with the new build just posted here:
http://www.smproaudio.com/produkte/v-ma ... .html#c786
please read this !!
BEFORE you try the upgrade, turn off ANY USB connected audio device or midi interface, I remember having this issue before(which Danny fixed with this suggestion) where if I try to do a firmware upgrade with some of my USB devices connected, it won't work, it will just hang there....
Steps:
-turn off or remove any usb audio or midi devices
-On the V-Machine, while holding down both [Learn] buttons, turn on V-Machine and hold until it says update on the machine
-run the VFX program, it will prompt you to update, select yes...
-if all goes well you will see the updating message with an animated cursor, if you dont see that(you would still be seeing the bank info on the display), chances are you have something on a USB port interfering, it just happened to me !!!
-when you get the message box on the screen, close the VFX application
-then turn off the vmachine....
Hope this helps !!
