hi! I am a very happy new owner of mulab

I have a question.

Why the split tool disappear in the current version ?? I just see video that have it on youtube.

Right clicking + expand menu + select from menu is some huge pain when you want to slice a bunch of part. Having the tool available for series of actions is much more productive. As well having a keyboard shortcut for split at mouse position and at playing position would be a great time saver, good for the health, and would spread peace around the world.

keep the good work, and happy new year.

To make the user interface more simple and straightforward.

You can select a bunch of parts, then do the split, and all parts are split at the same time.

Some more info:

Keyboard shortcuts are planned for MU.LAB 3.0.

Before then, MU.LAB 2.5 will be released featuring ReWire support.

MU.LAB 2.5 is 99.9% finished. The only main thing to do is debugging as some internal structures have changed. The test version should be available one of these days.

MU.LAB 3.0 is planned to be a 'big' update. Hopefully it can be released before Frankfurt Music Messe 2009. But that's 'hopefully'. Difficult to already estimate at this point.

does this mean mulab uses only one of my cpu's cores?

Yep, so if you're running it on a 1.8Ghz clocked quad core, it "could" run slower than on a 3.0GHz single core.

Jo, maybe you can start a new thread with an outlook on 2.5 and 3.0 ( not just for release date but for some kind of update what we are eagerly awaiting ) !?!?!?!?!?
2.5 will be here very soon so you'll soon be ableto check it out.

About 3.0: It's too early to go into public details already.
