If some of us sound designers started charging rates that would equate to real job working hours it would probably be higher.
Let me first underline that it's of course up to you how you set up your prices. But the explanation given above is only true under certain conditions. In short words: the more you sell the more your statement is wrong. ;-)

Doesn't matter how many sets he sells you still only pay 15 cents (or whatever) for each preset. Sound Design can be lots of work and being compensated for that work is reasonable. Same with skins. Graphic artists put a lot of hard work and talent into their skins. They have a right to be compensated as well. Unless you think everything should be free and in that case you'll give your paycheck back to your employer from now on.

really good work on this bank. i have to ask you adam how did you learn this? it's the most evasive thing i've ever attempted to do; learn how to design sounds from scratch.

i'm going to try it your way and find existing sounds and emulate them as best as i can, it seems like a good way to learn the basics.

Sure, but the statement was that 15 cents represent the quantity of work. This is -from the logical view- only true when you sell a certain quantity. Btw, imho the truth is that 15 cents are in line with the market. ;-)

Again, as it seems to be mistaken, I don't judge about the pricing (the quality of his patches can't be discussed anyway). It's his business. But I feel free to comment on statements that ask for a reply.

I'd like to see more Moog types of sounds, I guess around mid 70's to early 80's sounding synths, but revamped with Sylenth1's great quality and built-in effects :)
Someone in here mentioned a preset sounding like Bladerunner, more of that would be great

can we have a Daft Punk preset so we can use it with a talkbox to re create the "stronger" track?

He is sending the mails including the soundbank himself, it's not automated, so it can take some time. Don't worry, he'll come back to you :-)

This is a good point. I would love a 70s style style Old School soundset for more funk oriented genres. Sylenth can do all that and more! And that Blade Runner preset is mustard!

Like with my site, he processes orders manually, so it could take up to 24 hours, but don't worry you will get the sounds :)

Also its worth checking your email clients spam folder in case it accidently ended up there.

I could see how it could do sounds like that, I just am not too great at making sounds from scratch. I'd rather just spend $10-20 for a real nice soundset full of ones similar to that era, and maybe have some of them updated for today's "sound", but still have that old sound in there at the same time.

There are 2 soundsets for Wusikstation I got recently that are sort of like what I am thinking of for Sylenth1, called VS and Oberheim Ressurection. They use samples taken from 2 older keyboards but manipulated/layered,turbo-charged.. etc.etc, and they sound great. :)
Of course, Sylenth1 doesn't use samples of anything, but the idea would be kind of the same, revamped versions...what's old is new again.

FFS, the Voodoo People recreation at approx 2.20 in the demo mp3 is just unbelievable!
