after your release of the UVI workstation i bought synth anthology, xtreme FX, mayhem of loops and the PSP as boxed version for a very got price and i think the new price in your shop is also ok, but euro 190 & VAT is a lot of money.

espacially at the moment, where you can find great GBs (like the on from esounz and IK) and christmas sales all over the music software maket!

so, if you sometimes start a GB with a (resonable price) for ETM i'm definitly in!

Hello Olaf,

Electric Toy Museum is a really unique product, there is nothing like this in the market. As you could imagine, it implied a huge amount of work and organization to make it real. Even if there are "toys" we did record them as seriously as they were stradivarius ;-) using the best equipement and professionnal recording studios. Also it's a very specific market, so we feel that the price is almost cheap, if you consider the number of instruments (97). We are a serious company and we need to be profitable because that's the way we can bring you more fun products in the future!

Anyway thanks a lot for your interest and your support,

It does seem a little expensive at first sight , but it sounds really beautiful . I would like to hear a couple more demo songs ! .

Okay I watched the Toys video and it is very impressive.

I also downloaded uviworkstation-1-0-11.dmg but when I load documents that were saved using 1.0.10 they do not play back properly at all even if I reload presets. I think it is only certain presets but many of them so something is broken in 1.0.11.

So I reverted back to 10 and it works fine. Can someone look into this please?

I sound like DelayTime "1/4" is the same as DelayTime "1/2".
It happens any kind of DELAY.
Would somebody test about it?

i just stumbled over the uvi workstation stuff yesterday. i must say i am pretty impressed. this looks like a really really nice distribution channel for sounds. i just ordered my ilok a minute ago. i hope that people will adopt this way to purchase sounds - it is just too comfortable to ignore if you ask me - and the price is right (though i agree that the electronic toys price seems a little steep).

a question: what happens if i loose my purchased ufs files? can i redownload say a limited number of times or do i have to ensure that i backup them properly?

Hi,

You can redownload the ufs 5 time, but if you need more, just ask for it, this is absolutely not a problem.
The limit is more here to avoid issue with download manager and stuff like that.

Hope this answers your question.

Hi Makk,

This should have been fixed in the now available 1.0.12 at least if this was happening in the Analog Tape Delay.

Loved the first version -
Questions:
Do I need to uninstall old version before install?
If I have the other soundset, do I need to d/l the new soundset-any newness to tempt me?
The crash bugs I read at the beginning of this thread, are they sorted out?
Sometimes I've found it's best to leave well enough alone.
Thanks, Olivier

No.
The installer automatically checks version number and update accordingly.

The demo soundbank doesn't have change since a long time ago.
All issues in it where fixed like 4 month ago.

Absolutely.
Still, we'll be happy to sort out any issue you might encounter if any.

Don't hesitate if you need further information.

gee...just downloaded plugsound pro ufs and as murphy suggests, my getright crashed at 100% progress. before i waste another download, would it be possible for anyone to provide an md5 sum of the file? wouldn't it be useful to provide these in addition to the downloads as well anyway (maybe along with a pgp/gpg signature)? or even some par2 parity files that can repair the download with smaller downloads afterwards. i think all of these simple things would be really good to improve the service.

edit:

my sum of PlugsoundPro.ufs is 7da7584e5ebf571e94587bf978084b7c.

I advise you to use Firefox 3 if you don't already.

Regarding the md5 for PlugsoundPro, I have exactly the same, so the download looks fine. md5 on a 8go takes time :)

I'll forward your comments to the web dev team.

great, thanks a lot!

Alain! This is Casey, remember me?

I'm absolutely delighted with the great service you provided, I've been struggling getting the Acoustic Grand Piano and you've been a great help!

Just want to drop some opinions on the UVI Workstation, since my keyboard doesn't have any velocity curve setting, I wished UVI Workstation has more curve setting instead of just heavy, linear, light, and fixed. But I think I'm a minority here so treat it as a wish. ;)

got my ilok today. downloaded the license to the dongle and everything worked. no problems at all.

a little feedback for the uvi guys (who have been very helpful so far!): i kind of dislike the patch browser in uvi workstation. the browser keeps scrolling to the right and i loose track of the hierachy i am in. i think it would be better if the plugin window had (maybe optionally) more width or the expansion of the categories would be displayed in a tree rather than this mac-style browser. the window could resize dynamically if thats possible. i believe that proper browsing of the patches is really one of the most crucial things for a product like uvi workstation and i think this currently is pretty, but not very practical - you always have to scroll back to the left to make changes in your selection which is really annoying.

another thing for the non-uvi guys: does anyone have the acoustic piano. is it good? the demos sound nice, but i haven't heard any comments from somebody who has bought it already except for a comment somewhere that "even the uvi grand piano" sounds better than akoustik piano from native instruments - whatever that means.
