I tried this with MU.LAB 2.4 Test B and Reason Demo 4.0.1 and everything seems fine here.
Hmmm, I have done the same test (with the same Reason song) in Tracktion, and there is no problem, so it must be a Mulab issue.
With Mulab, when the sequencer IS PLAYING, if I move in Reason the song position pointer after it's actual position (on the time line), the Mulab's song position pointer move to this new location, and the 2 ones go on together : OK.
If I move in Reason the song position pointer BEFORE it's actual position, the Mulab's song position pointer move to this new location and start moving on (it's OK), but in Reason, when I release it, the song position pointer doesn't stay at the new location but move to its previous location and wait until the one in Mulab reach this location, and then they go on together...
I don't know if it's clear...

I retried exactly what you describe using MU.LAB 2.4 Test D and Reason 4.0.1 on Windows and cannot see any problem here

Is that on Windows or OSX?

True. Stupid internal issue. Fixed in Test D. Thanks for reporting!

Rewire appears to be working well with this version. "The Ugly VSTi Interface" and "HostX" are working as expected as Rewire devices, including midi send and mixdown.

BUG REPORT

Sorry to throw a spanner in the works, but I have just noticed that some Synthia default patches and most Musynth default patches will not load in ALL versions of MU.LAB 2.4 (tests A-D). Just to check, I took the library folder from MU.LAB 2.01 and dropped it into the MU.LAB 2.4 test folders with the same results. Not sure if this is just a PPC Mac issue - can anyone check this out on a PC and an Intel Mac?

Yikes! I'm on PPC. Just updated with Test D.

You're right about the Synthia patches.
Block Party, DiSar97, Ghost Night, SyBass09, SynthFlute, Synthia, VS-508 affected

Almost none of the default MuSynth patches work here.

Luckily I'm not relying on these.

The VSTs I use are ok.

(I've lost my Test C MuLab. Should've backed up....)

What beta testing is all about, I guess.

The patches that were in the MU.LAB 2.04 package cannot (all) be simply used in MU.LAB 2.4 Test

The patches in the MU.LAB 2.4 Test packages for Windows are all updated.

But it seems that they were not yet copied to the OSX package.

Have done so. The updated OSX package is at the same link:

I have done the test on Windows XP and Windows Vista.
I will try with the Reason 4.0.1 demo...

But as it's OK in Tracktion, there must be something nasty...

Yes, i understand this reasoning.

But i can't find anything wrong here so it's difficult to research the issue.

Load that session in 2.0x, and save, then you can load it in 2.4 Test.

I tried to load Bidule in Reaper and vice versa, but in effects, I don't even find "Rewire"! - Either I must be doing something wrong or there's something wrong with my Mac!

Any suggestions?

Calum reported a similar problem earlier on page 1 of this thread. He reinstalled Reason and things were fine then. Maybe some ReWire library version conflict..?
