Has anyone else run into this and found the solution? I suppose I could send an email to NI Support (although I'm not sure if I'm eligible for support on the Kore demo, having demoed it once before), but if someone else has had the same issue and it was a simple fix, I'm hoping I can get past this little speed bump without getting into all of that.
Anyone having problems getting Zebra to show up in NI Kore?

I've been demoing Kore 2 (on WinXP Pro), and it finds all of my softsynths except Zebra. I read the advice on the NI Forums about looking in Kore's Database Cache folder (which, interestingly enough, was not in the location on my hard drive that was stated in the NI Forum thread), and there is no "zebra.ksd" file there, so obviously I can't delete a file that isn't there to begin with. I had briefly demoed Kore 2 a few months ago, and it was able to load Zebra 2.2 no problem, but Zebra 2.3 thus far is a no-go. Kore loads other u-he plugins from the same folder like FilterscapeVA and Uhbik no problem.

Are you looking in the proper database cache folder? I'm betting you aren't.
There's one in C:\Program Files\Common Files\Native Instruments\Kore 2; that has just NI plugins in it. The other's the one you want- and it is in Documents and Settings\*your user account*\Local Settings\Application Data\Native Instruments\Kore 2.
You could do a search for it; include hidden files and folders. The full name is Zebra2.dll.SMD2.ksd
Delete that and start Kore.

Thanks for the reply, ew. I did look in the C:\Documents and Settings\etc. path first (before subsequently finding a "Database Cache" folder in the C:\Program Files\Common Files\Native Instruments\Kore 2 path).
My user account folder (in this case, "Dave") would be the one with sub-folders such as Desktop, Favorites, Start Menu etc. in it, right? Mine doesn't have a "Local Settings" folder in it (I also checked the "Administrator" and "All Users" folders). Unless "Local Settings" is hidden for some reason, but I couldn't figure out how to make it visible, if so.
I also tried running a search of my C: drive with the "search hidden folders" option checked, and it turned up no results for "zebra2.ksd." I thought surely it would have come up in a search if it was there.
EDIT: I just noticed the exact filename you suggested searching for (sorry, missed that on my first read-thru of your post). I'll give that a go and see if I can find the little bugger, LOL.

BINGO, that did the trick...apparently "Local Settings" is a hidden folder (my limited knowledge of these things is clearly showing). Searching for the exact file name you gave me located it and deleting it did the trick. Thanks very much for your help, Eric.

Now, do the same thing for the Zebralette and ZRev .ksds...
Zebralette.dll.SMD3.ksd
ZRev.dll.reV0.ksd
And to make the Local Settings folder visible, choose "show hidden files and folders" in Windows' view menu.
