Looks like someone forgot to pay the bill. Also, the Yahoo group should be closed it is filled with spam.
I'm willing to contribute something to help with the website costs, anybody else?

Hi Joel,
If you are looking for the general website, it is hosted at Sourceforge:
http://sonicbirth.sourceforge.net/index.shtml
Thanks for the info - I'll forward it.

I ran into Antoine last month and he said that it was OK if I made it available from my website.
So there it is: http://www.radio.uqam.ca/ambisonic/soni ... _beta2.zip

Hi Kewl / Daniel,
Do you know what the situation is with SonicBirth development? I heard a while ago that it was being developed into a commercial product (I really hope so!!) or is that just a pipe dream?
Thanks,
Chris.

There's suppose to be people working on the 1.5 version, but it's not Antoine and it's certainly not me. SB was a commercial product at the start, but it's a very niche product and Antoine didn't sell many copies at the time: it's one of the reason that lead him to make it open source. As for going back to be a commercial product again, I doubt it and it would not make it necessarily a better product. Development would be more constant, but the end product would be relatively the same.chris_allen123 wrote:Do you know what the situation is with SonicBirth development? Ok thanks for the info. I've seen a few links to sonicbirth.com but that's not a website, just a placeholder. I'm just looking for a fix for the whole 'nothing moves after export' problem.

I managed to find the source code for version 1.5 here:
http://sonicbirth.svn.sourceforge.net/v ... irth_v1_5/
however this is literally the source code so I installed Xcode from my leopard DVD and tried to build sonicbirth 1.5 from it!
It didn't work (hundreds of errors occurred).
Suffice to say I know nothing about writing applications for OS X so I've given up.
If anyone still has a 1.5 installer (although I suspect there never was one maybe?) or any suggestions it would be appreciated.
Chris.
