off to get 25 now.. and I have nothing to say about the manual

Devon... give it all ya got with all my blessings...

btw, I had no problem doing edits in the new MS Word as the editor from inside IE... you just have to be careful to save it into the same folder where the folder of images resides...

William... yes, good changes and I think a 'bigger' version of EVE would be great... ahhh but what to call it??? "Son of EVE" "ATOM and EVE" "EVE-ER".... no no wait I've got it: MOTHER of EVE! hahaha and away into the night goes another madman... :-o

Post

hey eveyone... I just gotta tell you EVE is damn beautiful she about makes me cry... what an astonishing Lady!

I know there may still be a few things here and there that will show up, but right now I just want to collapse in here arms... errrr I mean sounds... :D

My hats are off [from both my heads] to William and Liqih and all the testers on this project... this has been perhaps the biggest one yet, eh guys? I believe EVE is gonna really cause a stir in the VSTi world!

... gosh... I think I must be in love ....

Post

ok seem to be talking to myself... guess my time zone is much diff than others???

anyway... just had a thought...

since now there is the switch for multi outs on or off... why does there really need to be two version of EVE? or is that only in the beta 25 that we get two versions of the dll?

seems like with the multi switch, just the multi out version IS the single out version when the switch is turned to off... no????

... :?:

Post

Guys, sorry for the delay on sending EVE to some, will do latter but prob tomorrow. ;)

Max, the difference is that one has one stereo out and the other has 5 stereo outs, but with an option to mix inside EVE or outside. To avoid problems of users messing up presets, we added this option. ;)

Wk

And sorry I didn't get the manual. On THAT short of notice, and how little time was left, I didn't want to hold you up. :(

ok i see.. thanks for that explain...

I will help with the manual if you want.. but William told me not to.. must be something I spelled wrong... .... :D

Post

Max, it's mostly word usage, not spelling. Like your last post, it would be "Thanks for the explaination" not "thanks for that explain". I know English is not your native tongue. It's hard enough for us who ONLY know English, trust me. ;)

Devon

Post

hahaha no no English IS my ONLY native language

born and raised in the USA guys...

did William send you the edited version that I did back when... it might save you some time

some people don't care for the way I use english, LOL... but you can say that about Bob Dylan also...

Devon
Isn't it "explanation" ? :P

Post

omg.... thanks Durk.... geeez Devon... can't you tell the diff 'tween how I use werds and funnie spellnnng on a site and in print???

fyi, I have written a book some years ago, worked with numerous editors and in my past life wrote and edited copy for serveral majore American ad agencies....

why you think eng. is not native for me I don't know...

in my web writing and even [believe it or don't] in my poetry and song writing, I take the liberties to be creative with language... in a manual that would not be the case...

as I said before somewhere to someone.... don't talk to me about 'correct' english until you get Dylan to fix all the words and grammer in all his songs... hahaha

people who actually, deeply study English today, will tell you that language and especially English is a living, changing thing....

one of my close associates in the writing dept., has the hobby of traking the changes of meanings in English words:

Here one example:

Prestige

use it in a sentence

He was honored with the prestige that can only come from being an English professor.

but... do you know what that word, prestige oringinally meant?

Exactly ther REVERSE of what it means today!

Originally it meant something fake or bogus, as in the pretend magical word "Presto", use by stage magicians of that time.... hahahahaha

go figure dudes

What I can tell you for certain is this:
Language is powerful

Today we live in changing times, espically in terms of English!

Consider this: What is the difference between someone replying with "No Problem" instead of "You are welcome" ??? think about it for a moment

anyway, I only write all this to clear up what seems to be a big misunderstanding.

peace and love
max :D

Not that I want to get into some big to do about what's proper grammar, but I read tech guides all the time, and get used to a certain standard of writing. Izotope's Ozone manual for instance is very well written. I was just wanting to make sure that the manual was well written. English isn't an easy language, even for those of us who speak it natively and grew up with it. :) Each editor has his or her own style, and rules they follow. Ours are just different, that's all. I hope I wasn't insulting you at all Max.

Good question

Well, there's two reasons :P

 joke

Post

ah well... let's just leave it at that

no I'm not insulted at all.... I'm too ignorant to be insulted... LOL

and believe me, I happy to not work on the manual, I have tons on my plate right now... It was only that I had originally offered help and did produce and send an edited version of the earlier manual to William...

I've got nothing on this at all guys, other than simply taking the time to clear up some misunderstandings....

Krim... you gotta understand that often I get here very late at night for my work day... i.e., it's almost 3 am here and I've been going since 6 am... so often my typing and reading on the forum is not edited... I simply trust that on here we can extract the meaning of things even when not grammarically perfect and even when misspelllllleedd... 'nuff said... time for bed %^)
