In this particular case, that wasn't how it was.

I don't know about anyone getting worked up really. We just mentioned it as a pet peve. I don't see where anyone really got pissed about it or anything.

Not worked up, and to answer the question, I think most of the time it's more about the "corrector" as opposed to the person being "helped"

I want to apologize, I believe I'm being a hyporcit since I tried to derail exactly what I was trying to prevent in one of my threads. Sorry bout that, I'll try to do better in the future.

When I make errors in posts, please pm me so I can make corrections. I do want to look presentable, but I'd rather not be corrected in a public forum. Even if the corrector does it with good intentions, it's most likely to be taken as a hostile act.

the thing that bothers me the most and is in fact a pet peeve is ppl hu post in long runon unpunctiated mispelted sentenses with no regard for the person trying to read it and then they expect everybody 2 d3cif3r teh crap they say and respond to thme in a civil way thay piss me off they think the r so cul they hev no brain and outhg to be lined up and shot for making me look at the krap the writ i am so pissed off i cant go on you get my poent peace out

Actually, most people for whom English is not their first language post in very understandable and readable English. It's usually the English-only posters, especially Americans, who lack respect for Standard English.

Well, it SEEMS you have something against me. If I'm wrong, then my apologies. I'm also quite cranky tonight DUE to a very long day. Times have been stressful the past few weeks as it is.
