the point is that oscs in the berlin modular will be capable of slow enough rates to be used as LFOs or fast enough rates to be used as conventional OSCS... No distinction between the two... No "this is an LFO module, and this is an audio osc..."MCnoone wrote:Yes but it can't speak on it's own. That could be possible, in the form of an envelope follower and quite a bit lowpassed. Any audio rate modulations are only safe for the dedicated modules, i.e. XMF, FMO and RingMod.hakey wrote:Would it be possible to have a module in Zebra that could take an audio signal and make it available as a modulation signal and vice versa?

I see.
Not that I can say I've ever felt the desire to audio rate anything other than XMF, FMO and Ringmod. I dare say there might be some instances where it would be interesting, but I can't think of any off the top of my head.

Ok, I can't decide between Filterscape and Zebra. I think FilterscapeVA is really good to get good sounds in a short time and the other included plugins are great too. Before I decide I have a question.
Will you wait for FilterscapeLQ before releasing a new version of Filterscape with resizable GUI? I know you mentioned that you already have an internal version with it, but for a public release?
Thanks Urs!
P.S.: There's a resize problem in Orion with both Zebra and Uhbik. But MFM2 is ok. The window containing the plugin don't resize with the GUI so the image is crop. I've already mention it in a couple of other threads but you never respond about it (or I missed it?).

I think I've read on this forum that runcitter is actually a modified version of code that will make it's way into FILTERSCAPE, not Zebra.psycox wrote:this dream makes me not sleeping.soundpalace wrote:Any chance that you will add the filter in Uhbik to Zebra2?![]()

Does anyone know if the dynamics bundle will integrate into Uhbik-X? I've been wanting a top quality multi FX unit for a long time and the Uhbik demo has impressed me a lot, but I don't really need it, so unless it's headed towards what I've been looking for I should probably pass.Urs wrote:Dynamcis Bundle (like Uhbik, but compressors, multiband, transient stuff, de-esser)

Well, uhbik-L (a leveling amplifier, which basically accomplishes the same task as a compressor but in a different way) should be added eventually.exh wrote:Does anyone know if the dynamics bundle will integrate into Uhbik-X? I don't know about the dynamics and uhbik-X.

Just curious, what advantages does having an onboard sequencer give you over simply using your host for sequencing? Surely using MIDI is much more flexible?DHR53 wrote:Could you do a drum sampler WITH a beat programmer please. Seems like their either lots of sound capabilities with no beats, or beats with little sound possibilities. Ultrabeat is close, if I could just figure out that crazy interface... and get rid of the stupid grid lines in the beat programmer. Well, you get the idea anyway... My .02

Depends... what the hosts piano roll/matrix is like. I find drawing hits on a drum grid, that lets me adjust velocity, say vertically as I draw... is much faster and ultimately more expressive. The problem with most midi matrix/piano rolls, they were designed to enter midi notes, not necessarily drums... Compromise usually. I like the beat programmer in IDrum myself. That would be my model but with 32 hits instead of 16. I never liked the Matrix or Hyper edit for drums in Logic. I was going to create a screenset for just drums, with the grid set the way I wanted... never got around to it. I like Live drum racks though too... That's pretty slick!

Live's drum racks are currently my drum tool of choice.
When using pattern-based drum VSTis, how do you deal with triggering? Do you export the midi from the VSTi and import it into your host, or do you trigger via MIDI? If it's the latter, how do you set up triggering so that if you start playback in your host in the middle of a bar, it triggers the loop in the middle of the bar?
