Everything works now, at least for me. I have to say, I didn't really "get" MDrummer when I first tried it but it has become by favorite rhythm machine. I love the way the patterns are layed out on the keyboard logically. It is a great tool especially for songwriting to have all of the variations available like that on one keyboard while playing another. In some ways it is similar to Jamstix but much quicker to build a basic beat & bunch of variations. I don't know how others are using it but I like to start by putting a quick drumset together, then just throwing a 2 or 4 bar "essential" beat together with just kicks & snares, then let the rhythm generator build the variations from that. The next thing I'm working on now is building some more "acoustic" sounding drumkits with multisamples to see what it can do. The per-drum effects processor is outstanding! I often wish it had "bus" or "channel-out" effects slots too but I have come to use the multi-outs from MDrummer in my host programs to apply any additional shaping there.

Hey Clydewinder, this is exactly how I use it
. Actually this is the main idea. Of course, you can use it as EZ Drummer, Jamstix and similar, but I definitely think this is much much better.
Anyway you have obviously noticed I didn't post much lately - we've been busy creating the MDrummer DVD. It should be out this week! Hopefully... AND we developed new envelope system, which is probably the most advanced one in the world and is INCREADIBLY fast - most MDrummer subsystems using it is now 200%-600% faster! But we have to test it a little bit more... Get prepared

Btw. Clydewinder - you'd like to have effect pipeline for each output too?

Yes, well I usually find myself routing the kick & snare to one output, toms to another, hats & ride to another, remaining brass & misc to another and in Sonar I often apply additional channel effects to those, i.e. a limiter or equalizer to the kick/snare, sometimes an overdrive or heavy compression to the toms, and I almost always have to eq the hats to get them to sit properly. I realize this can be done within the existing drumset editor per drum ( which is great! ) but when experimenting it's nice to do it on the busses. I just do it externally for now within Sonar instead of within MDrummer.
