The presets sounds a bit similar... Mmmh...

i thought they would. as somebody said before, "everybody and there dogs a producer now" or sound designer for that matter.

There you go. If you think these all sound the same, maybe you should take up a new hobby. I aim for usable sounds, not gawdy unusable ones that might sound fancy but have no practical purpose.

I checked out the pads and would classify them as mostly "A pause in the action" type cinematic sounds. Some nice subtlties but no mod assignments which I prefer. Not bad though.

Thank you for a very good assessment of the sounds. They were meant as cinematic sounds, but there should be mod assignments for modwheel, aftertouch, and/or velocity. If there isn't, Mike uploaded the wrong demo sounds again

If you haven't even checked the sounds out yet, you have no idea what the proof is.

just loaded em up. these are god awful. they sound like the thor synth in reason with no modulations i wouldn't be so critical, if these sounds were for free, still wouldn't use em. but would appreciate the effort and give thanx. but the fact that your trying to sell these is off puting to say the least... i feel sorry for somebody who buys these. i know that may sound mean, but your not ready to release commercial banks yet.

Yeah, those new demos are better and usable I would say for their intended purpose. Mod Wheel is no big deal as I usually customize everything anyway.

having got this sound set and spent a bit of time with it i have to say the strongest sounds are the pads and plucked sets, very atmospheric and imo quite useable for film and for myself in a more realistic environment as a house producer can see them slotting into some deep techy break downs. also the leads seem quite acceptable for any IDM stuff. Dir7y D3luxe is one i was playing with for quite a bit, nice work DNR

having said the good points i feel it only just, to mention what im not digging out of this pack.
i feel the bass and rhythm parts need work. imo the bass needs to be deeper and richer which i found a few tweaks of eq and other setting achieved what i could use. the rhythm sections needs the most work, imo they need to be varied and evolving a bit more. also some of the sounds have way too much reverb/delay or release on them that for me just made the sound too muddy for my use but it was soon amended.

over all the more im playing with this sound set the more im digging some of the sound, i own both Arksun and Adams sets which i love but i think if people buy this to expect a similar sound to A&A's then no this isnt the set for them, those sets are imo for more electronic music producers, this is more varied and across the range including both electronic housey/tech sounds and warmer more natural sounds.

lol for the price can you really complain

ps the set has to be complied into a bank rather than presets for futere users but i think i saw you had this in hand

I don't own these sounds (yet) but I have others that were programmed for other synths by reason lahalla. He doesn't make big show-off patches that sound great on their own but can't be used in a mix - he programs stuff that sits in and does the job very well without calling attention to itself or overpowering everything else.

When you're under the hammer of a client deadline, that's a godsend.
