Well, that's mad. Great. But mad. You should make a drum vst*.
Cheers.

hmmm, maybe i'll do that, if i ever think of a good idea for one. right now i can't. however, if i have time i also want to make a "percussion" bank for mr. alias 2... unless someone else does first.
i also need a more impressive demo song, and soon i'm hoping to start a "guess which synth is analog" thread featuring mr. alias (vs. borderliner and steiner microcomputer).

Alas, neither Borderliner nor Microcomputer is available anymore, so there's no one for Mr A2 to compete with.insertpizhere wrote:hmmm, maybe i'll do that, if i ever think of a good idea for one. right now i can't. however, if i have time i also want to make a "percussion" bank for mr. alias 2... unless someone else does first.

Wow, even more Mr Aliasy goodness. I've using #1 a lot recently and I was actually going to make a post thanking you, and here you've left us all a nice present. So thank you (in retrospect) for #1 and (in futurospect*) for #2, too.

that's what makes it sound twice as good as Massive.PV_INC wrote:the only real complaint is that mr alias 2 uses up to 25% of a single core on a q6600, which is over double what NI massive in ultra mode maxes out on. highly unoptimizized

i made some secret updates to the AU version shortly after releasing it, so if you downloaded it early, try getting it again. otherwise i'll try to check it out tomorrow.
there will be an update soon, with somewhat better performance. i'm also experimenting with extreme fft pitch shifting (with imitation aliasing) for the audio input, but it sounds pretty bad.

It would be cool if the audio input triggered the oscillators. The ol pitch to control voltage thing.
