Hey guys and girls

First of all apologies if this has been addressed previously but I was unable to find it using the search function.

As of yesterday i downloaded and installed the demo version of Sylenth1 from the Lennar Digital site to test it out before i consider purchasing it. Once it was installed i booted up Ableton 7 (PC) and throw the Sylenth into a midi channel. The sythn poped up and everything seems to be working fine, besides the fact that it generates NO SOUND. Everything works fine within the synth itself however whenever i try to play the synth via my midi keyboard, computuer keyboard or midi loops in ableton, no sound is produced.

If anyone could please help me out it would be greatly appriciated.

Are you REALLY sure that you downloaded and installed this demo version?

Because this one does produce sound

haha i am sure. I am going to try a complete uninstall and reinstall when i get home tonight. I have a feeling it is something really really simple that i might be missing. Thanks for responding guys

If you have other vsti that respond to your midi controller, maybe reinstalling will do it for you!

Does the VU meter on Sylenth1 or on the host display any activity when you press a key (with the mouse)? Can you send me a sceenshot of this?

Thirteen,

If you play any Instrument in Live Sylenth1 should play as well, I have no problem at all on Live 7.0.14, even with 2 Keyboards Sylenth responds both keyboards in different octaves. Check your MIDI ports and Audio Devices under Live preferences.

Thanks for the replys guys.

When I load Sylenth into ableton and press either my midi keyboard keys or the keyboard keys, nothing happens in Sylenth, only ableton registers the incoming signal by the flashing box in the top right corner of the screen.

I cant take a screen shot as of yet Lenard as im at work, however if reinstalling doesnt help to solve the problem, I will pop one up as soon as i get home.

I can assure you that it works just fine in Ableton Live 7 on windows.

Make sure to press the little MIDI input button at the bottom of the channel...

thanks for all the help guys, i was able to get it running after uninstalling and reinstalling the vst. Not sure what the problem was.

I'm not sure how many presets you get with the demo, but if you buy Sylenth1 you'll get tons of presets to play with.
