Hi All,

First up, thanks for a most excellent piece of software! I'll enjoy using it for a long time to come, and hopefully can contribute to the commmunity!

I've been trying to figure out automation clips, and I think I've got it sorted out, except for one issue. I can't tell if it's a limitation/feature of the Mux plugin, but basically if I use the Lowpass Filter and an Automation to control the Cutoff knob, the clip registers on the plug in (I can tell because I can see the Cutoff knob move as per my automation), but the sound is a little bizarre. Almost like sound artifacts.

Have a listen. First the mixdown without the automation, then with the automation.

I tried routing the audio to another Rack via a send, and I've tried assigning the automation clip directly to the Mux plugin (setting the track directly to Low Pass Filter). When I get it all working, the result sounds the same. The automation in the part is assigned to Cutoff, so I don't think that could be the cause.

If I plug in a different plugin, or choose a different preset in Mux, it all behaves and sounds right. This leaves me thinking it might be something to do with the Lowpass Filter perhaps.

Anyway, hopefully that is enough information!

SR

Could it be that you have recorded two filter automations on top of each other? Maybe in a cycled recording?

Then it could be that the automation events in the two 'layers' are fighting each other.

It would be easier to examine this using the MuSession file itself. Could you please upload/email it.

Again, many thanks.

This definitely sounds like two automation curves having a little run-in.

It's a bug. MU.LAB 2.5.3 will be released asap.

Thanks for looking into this for me so quickly!

I appreciate it.
