well, basically the only documentation for it is in this thread: http://www.kvraudio.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t=201276

it says a midi file is saved when the plugin state is saved, so that would be when saving the project or an fxb.

:hihi: Sorry was stuck in a timewarp there for a minute or year..

Working, are you Jucing it up ;)?

Glad to hear its not as bad as you 1st thought. If possible then, can you add a dump param to output a new mid file iteration? Again the naming is not essential so a diag is not necessary.

Thanks for looking at this one again piz!

i already added a parameter to save the file. to have it increment the filename should only take a few minutes, so i may just add an option for that too.

check the other thread for a version compiled this morning.

@insertpizhere:

I checked out Mr. Alias (version 1) and think it makes an awesome glitchtronica drum machine! :D

Just downloaded your MIDI plug-ins. I plan to use a few of them, even though REAPER is my main music application. :hihi:

Keep up the good work. I like your sense of humor. :)

Just a friendly little non affiliated reminder to donate som ca$h to IPH as a little reward for providing us with all these awesome, and often custom tailored to our taste goodies!
Paypal button on page 1 doesn't work but you can copy and paste the link behind the button and it will take you there :)

I'll get to that one eventually. :)

Thank you for the MIDI plug-ins. Some of them are quite useful, even in REAPER. I finally found an audio-to-CC MIDI effect which doesn't crash REAPER! :D

Hey piz,

I'm sure I asked you this before but is there anyway you can add a way to create my own default colors for MIDImonitor? So when I open it, it returns to the previous color (other than having to open a preset?).

Thanks in advance for any help.

ABout MIDIstrum.

Is it possible to make it so that you could while sequentially hold those note (or the VST remembers them after pressing and letting go) and mapping two or more keys on the high end, to "strum" those notes or per string, like a guitar keyboard sort of thing? (At least if that's how it sorta worked with RealGuitar demo)

Or something like this action here:

sure, try this version: http://thepiz.org/xt/midiMonitor.zip
just set it the way you want, and save "midiMonitor.fxp" in the same folder as the plugin.

it almost works that way already... you can hold chords with one hand and play the strumming rhythm with the other. i think the difference is that it doesn't let you keep strumming after you let go of the chord. i suppose that makes it more like playing a real guitar, sort of, but i could let it remember the chord if that would be better. i haven't actually tried playing it with a keyboard myself.

Just tested. Great, but there's a slight bug.

Both notes on the predefined octave, when it calls for NoteOff on either note (C, C#, D, D#) , after pressing the next with the keyboard the strum would cut off. Is there any way to cause it not to kill the strum as long as there's still one note held down for the strum? (The only way to get around it at the moment is hold Sustain AND hold the notes or i just hear last strum trailing off, but not all plugins support this)

Or even remember notes by sustain pedal?

Post

i think i see what you mean... it's a problem with overlapping strum notes. i'll fix that.

i'm also thinking i should extend the strum octave... maybe E would be a downstroke, F up, G down, A up, B down. or some other arrangement. any suggestions?
