Is there a good sequencer plug-in for Receptor?

Hi,
I'm thinking about creating rhythms in Receptor as a stand-alone...without using UNIWIRE, Ableton, etc. is there a good plug-in for launching MIDI clips/sample loops in Receptor?

My vision is to have a step-sequencer or MIDI track (like Live) playing sounds from Battery. Thanks!

I bought a Receptor with a similar vision to yours. I have not figured out a sequencer approach, but I have been using loops that I created in other programs (ACID wav files) by playing the files in Battery and Kontakt. I set the tempo with a 34one MIDI clock pedal and trigger the samples with an M-Audio trigger finger. I do this alongside running VSTi's that I am playing using a MIDI equipped guitar and keyboard controller. I have not had nearly as flexible or accurate results with the loops on the Receptor as I have had using Live on a laptop. Other people have mentioned using Reaktor for sequencing, which I have not played around with yet. It would be fantastic to have the live looping capability of Ableton on the Receptor!

Amen!!! I believe that's where live digital music is headed, but it's going to take a little while. Now that Ableton and Akai are releasing the first hardware controller specifically to run Live (the APC40) I think it's an indication that people want to remove laptops from the live music equation. And why wouldn't we- they're breakable, unstable, and don't "play" like an instrument...unless one thinks mouse clicks are sexy.

Receptor at least guarantees that any synth/sampled instruments will play should the laptop not boot up at the show.
