@xh3rv: Fully agreed. The ModMatrix was layed out at a time when I thought that maybe 2 or 3 people would use it (experience from Zebra 1.5), so I didn't give its layout the priority it deserved. But of course we got an explosion in the number of serious sound designers and thus a more convincing design is required. Which will hopefully be available soon enough.

as a preset player not a programmer I have three wishes for zebra2...
A revamp of the preset browser so I don't have to wade through thousands of patches, or at the very list make it clickable expandable like Kontakt.
A search engine so I can look for patches by names (eventually allow tagging and so I can search by tags too)
the ability to save my default size and not have to click larger everytime I load the plugin.....
now you tweakers can ask for everything else

Mostly covered in the todo list. Just - as always - no proper release datezvenx wrote:as a preset player not a programmer I have three wishes for zebra2...

We extended it by one week. California weather is great again (we had a few showers two days ago)zvenx wrote:lol.......thanks Urs...

Knowing the heat in california, it might be wise to shower more often than that!Urs wrote:(we had a few showers two days ago)
Sorry, I couldn't resist.

One thing I like in Alchemy is as I move the mouse over a parameter it shows the value in info window. In Zebra you have to click on the parameter to see the value... Now that I can compare the two side by side, I like the Alchemy method and would like to see Zebra do the same thing.

I've clicked to see the value and accidentally changed it too many times.

I didn't have too many of these accidents yet, but I'm always afraid of them when tweaking sounds. So +1 for an safer way to get the values.bmrzycki wrote:I've clicked to see the value and accidentally changed it too many times.

Besides the possibility to accidentally change the parameter value, it is just a lot faster to run the mouse over a few knobs to see their settings rather than click each one.phazed wrote:I didn't have too many of these accidents yet, but I'm always afraid of them when tweaking sounds. Another suggestion...
On the arp page to the right, it says Arpmod and Arpmod2... there is enough room there to put a knob for each which would be smoothing control which would morph between hold and glide and of course with a small increment, would stop clicks on more aggressive settings...
I love using the arpmods!

A request about oscillator presets in Zebra2:
If I load a preset oscillator, it's most often the case that I want to see what the waveforms sound like with the current parameters for oscillator effects, detuning & voicing, sync, panning, or anything else along these lines. Yet the current behavior resets all of these parameters when loading a preset oscillator.
Would it be possible to have oscillator presets just overwrite the waveforms, and maybe have the INIT oscillator preset reset all the parameters? I don't know if this would let me get better sounds out of Zebra but it would at least save me time if I'm getting compulsive about it
