i have told arne about v-machine. hes a very cool guy and id bet at his earliest opportunity he will be looking into this, its obvious that gui snafu aside wivis lean power requirements could be a very good match for v-machine.
Hi Tony, hope your talk with Arne bears fruit. The new cool saxes (especially sax 2) coupled with the V-machine (12 volt :)) would make a very cool addition to a busking rig.

Heard your Wivi sax demo's on the other forum, up to your normal excellent standards :)

Regards Pete.

Hi.
I cant get SampleLord to play my samples from usb-stick.

I loaded SampleLord in to VFX and there loaded a nki-sample(Scarbee piano)
I can play this in the VFX.

Then I Export V-Machine to a usb-stick(format Fat32)
Then I start the Machine and put the usb-stick in.
SampleLord loads and the display shows exactly as in VFX, but theres no sound.

Now the sample is a little bigger than 1Gig, so it has to be played from the usb-stick. How do I make this work? Step by step, please..

Hi

I cannot get the presets for amplitube2 to work in either VFX or V-machine.
I checked and all preset folder is copied with the VFX-file. And inside the VFX software i can manually select preset in the Amplitube plugin. But it is not possible to step through presets with the preset buttons.

What am i doing wrong? Has anyone got this working?

I too cannot get any of the IK Multimedia products I have to load presets. I have followed the directions as specified in in the vfxinfo files. I also tried changing the directories to "p// and / without any resolution.

A question regarding the V-Rack: what's the maximum number of effects I could run at a time if I am NOT using any instruments at all?

I'm asking this only because I'm considering the idea of getting a V-Rack just to replace my guitar rack. I'll only be using effects such as delays, verbs, filters, etc. So, essentially, I won't need to use any instruments; just effects.

Ive had this product since December 2008. I still cant believe that there is no automation for info file creation. I used to think I was pretty good with computers. But this product (The way it is now) is not usable off the shelf to the average person. I have not been able to successfully make any VST work that requires anything other than the simple dll. I have a bunch of zio's instruments working a few free synths and that is all. I cant even get SFZ to work. Would love to get samplelord but am not willing to drop the 109 usd for it if i cant get it to work. I have good sampling programs already ,kontact, halion, but Im not willing to quit my day job to sit for hours trying to get them to work. VFX AU please make this product more user friendly. Its seriously cutting into the time available to make music. Im a musician not a programmer. I stopped using stk se because after the new build it stopped working. I didnt pay $600 for this thing to fight with it every second of my free time. I should be able to Import a VST without a freaking ordeal. Synchro it to the box via usb (2.0 please) configure my controller knobs. and play. I spend so much time trying to get this thing to work my wife has forgotten my name. Please streamline this thing! I'm sure there are owners here that feel the same. :?:

Funkyclav - I hope that in the future these issues are gonna be solved.

If not, you can always build your own embedded system for cheap (with dualcore CPU and 2-4 GB RAM, it's cheap nowadays), and run Brainspawn Forte with all your favourite VSTs, and be satisfied with it. Just a hint :)

Ive got a laptop will all the stuff i needed ... reaper etc. just was lusting after the form factor...laptop @ gigs is kind of scary and doesn't fit on my XK3 and Axiom controller. This thing should work off the shelf. Ive been programming the parameters on synths since 1984. but not creating software. just frustrated. it should do what it is advertised to do.

+1 :!:

Until now, I've spent much time on trying to install "my favourite VSTi's". The only thing I found out was, that none (NONE!) of them is working correct with the v-machine: Albino3, AAS Tassman, FM8, Massive, Reaktor5 and so on....

I was one of the first customers in November 2008. Now we have Feb 2009 and still none of the VSTis is working. The only thing we heard for months now is: "We're working on it...." No, sorry, guys, you should have worked on it BEFORE releasing this thing! :bang:

And, yes, of course, installing should be as easy as the installing procedure on a PC or MAC system....but I would be happy, if - at least - it would be possilbe to install the vsts anyway...

Hi,

This is my first message on this forum. I bought VM there are 3 months and to date the single dll crash on my pc with vfx. I do not want to program but to play music and I am still awaiting an update to VFX that works.

Hi.
Im thinking of replace the flashboard memory, on my Machine.
On Sm pro's site they recommend a 2Gb and a 4Gb, but I can see that there's also a 8Gb. Does this also work?

You can put any IDE 2.5" hard drive inside, solidstate or standard. I think.
