Using more than one oscillator

Hey guys,Im new.This message was posted in another place so ignore that one.Im messing around with the zebra vsti and have chosing a preset.Now my problem is this preset that was made has oscillators if I may,cancelling eatch others sounds out.See one thing I do to test a vsti sometimes is constantly press the tranport button on and off repeatedly to see if the response of it is rock solid and the preset when doing this sound becomes thin,then thick,then thin again.Now Im not saying its always the plug,but could someone explain to me about a thing called phasing I heard about.I've tried tweeking the preset and not go,even messed around with the phase buttons and well still no go.What am I missing out on here,can somebody please help me out.

Is that preset part of Zebras factory soundset ? Then tell which it is so people have a better chance at guessing whats up here

This is not really a preset, it's just a "note" to say you to try the modwheel on all the others sounds of the factory soundbank .

Add some detune and see what happens.

The actual reason to have more than one oscillator is to create a fuller sound (among other things, but this is the most commonly used reason). This is achieved by setting the oscillators to a slightly different tune. That way they continuously shift phase against each other. Depending on the *changing* phase offset, different harmonics of the two oacillator waveforms cancel out while others emphasize. This makes for lively, non-static and full sound. If detune is missing and thus the phase offset stays static, each note may vary from "dull & static" to "strong & static" because the continuous phase shift doesn't happen while oscillators start at different random phase.

Hence, add some detune (different values for each oscillator) and see what happens
