Might be a while. The rest of us are waiting for 2.5 (and the accompanying Zebrify unit).mobb deep wrote:im waiting on zebra 3 to come out

In my Modules/Oscillator/Factory folder there are 26 unique oscillators, ranging from Bells to PWM, saws, squares and Eels. In the parent folder, I have about 200 oscillator files. They were all downloaded for free. Some are from the classics like the Waldorf PPG, SH 101, others from more recent synths like the Virus.
Zebra 2 is a highly recommended synth - it's my favourite by far. Extremely flexible, very programmable, and the oscillator waves extend it's value and life considerably. 2.5 will be like icing on the cake. I can't imagine what 3 will bring
Peace,
Andy.

You can see all the free and commercial presets here http://uhe-patchlib.3amnoise.net/ and all the free oscillator presets here http://uhe-patchlib.3amnoise.net/zebra.html#msegmobb deep wrote:ok i might buy zebra 2 now,i thought part 3 would be soon
on u-he.com it says there are oscillator module presets,my question is HOW MANY
Furthermore, you can make all the oscillators you want with jupiter8's tool found in this thread http://www.kvraudio.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t=180706.
Zebra Science, Transmission, and the Factory banks all come with osc presets. Keep in mind any preset using an osc can be opened and then just save the oscs as templates too. This is one area where we are definitely not lacking in.

Sample playback oscillator, strange new filter models, a completely new overdrive/saturation effect to make jaws drop, perhaps? I'm sure Urs has mulled over all sorts of ideas for the future and will continue to put smiles on our faces. But obviously Z2 is a heck of a synth as it is now. I've had it for a year and a half and I still keep stumbling across little features I wasn't aware of. Such meticulous attention to detail.I can't imagine what 3 will bring
But to borrow a line from the VW commercials, "Don't put a baby in your belly just to put German engineering in your driveway" when a couple of C-notes will put it in your DAW.

Thanks to this thread, I went and downloaded all those osc presets. However going through the different oscillator presets (wile using an init patch), I found that after chosing a couple, they stopped sounding different. If I then went and chose a factory osc or an osc from one of the soundsets I own, they would change again. But all those user ones after a few clicks, produced the same dull tone. I know they are different however, because you can see the differences in the geoblend window, yet changing them does not yield a different sound, unless it's the first one you load after initializing the patch/module.
Strange?
Strange?
