Somewhere???? do you think it's easy to find anything in 72 forum pages with all kind of parallel discussions running at the same time?? I don't.

Because of this I created a Yahoo group, to easier comunicate with other users and to find easier the things that you know were already said, but the group is very quiet, maybe because people want to be answered by the SM people and they aren't there.

But I've followed the whole thread and have not seen the answer, I maybe just overlooked it....

AFAIK, what has been said is that the midi_transpose parameter exist and it can be found in the preset.vfx file. Nothing more.

BUT, HOW DOES IT WORK?

I write anything (ex. midi_transpose: 7) and nothing happens, it does NOT transpose the incoming midi, the VSTi sounds as always.

Anyone can please tell me how to transpose?

Hi Vince,

I saw your request but I'm running B4 II and it is very different from B4, I mean in ternms of registry entries. I still haven't been able to run B4.

Anyway, do you want the vxfinfo.txt for B4 II so you can take a look?

I havent read all maby, but I use "Midisolutions Footswith controller", and that works great for transposing the V-Machine. You just press the footswitch and hold down the keyboard key you want to transpose to, and thats it.

mon8169 wrote: I think the problem is that I don't know how to use just the effects... I load the B4II or VB3 in the slot 2, after the VSTi on slot 1 that should use the effect, but when I play it just sounds the organ, and not the VSTi on slot 1 with the effect. If I mute the sound (but not the effect, all drawbars to 0), I cannot hear the vsti on slot 1. I cannot see any parameter in both Vb3 and B4 II that enables any audio In and cancels the audio engine, so that it just works as an effect.

Any clue on how to do it?

BTW, the .dll and the fx.dll have different ID's, at least this is what the regeditor says, but when importing to vfx.... something happens!!

Ramon
What is it that your trying to achieve?
1. use the fx inside the instrument only
2. Not use the instrument at all and use the fx on an audio stream

If your trying to do the first one above then you dont need to import the fx.dll file

If your trying the second one then you would need to import the fx.dll and treat it as an entirely new plugin. This means a new wizard written for the fx.dll but before doing that check that the fx.dll actually works in another host as some plugins do not have a GUI or have parameters that you can change.

I think you are better to ask these sorts of support questions at http://smproaudio.helpserve.com/index.php

I'm trying Pink Floyd's Echoes. Yes, the piano thru the Leslie. So I think I'm in your point 1.

What I've tried:
* Piano VSTi in slot 1
* B4 or VB3 in slot 2 (not the fx.dll)

and right here is where the problem starts. When I but B4 or VB3 on slot 2 I hear the organ and no piano.

I then try to mute the organ by putting all drawbars to 0 and no percussion, just to be sure that the piano isn't heard because of the organ sounding louder. But no, in this case I don't hear anything.

Any help would be greatly appreciated!!

Hi,

You cannot put 2 VSTi's in the same channel!
VSTi's must be in different channels (can even use the AUX channels)
You can put a VST after a VSTi
So each instrument needs to be in a different channel.
The sun is going to shine in the morning, at least above the clouds.

For this reason I thought I had to import the fx.dll...

You mean I have to use the send channel as a pseudo-insert effect?

I'll try it when I'm at home...

Maybe I don't really understand what you are trying to do with the effects.

If the DLL let's you have audio in and out then it is ok, but make sure it does.

I've tried putting the VSTi in the FX channel and the result is the same. So, this isn't the solution.

Patience... we start again....

What I try to do is:

Use the effects from the plugs that have the normal dll and the fx.dll. This plugs are specially done to be able to use just the effect side of the plug. Ex: B4, VB3, Mr.Ray mkII and many others.
