Cordelia wrote:Yeah, me too. I just got a copy of CM about a month ago. This has become my favorite synth. Zebra looks a little overwhelming to me, but I figure if I can wrap my head around all the features of the ZebraCM version I'll be much better prepared when I buy the full Zebra.

Thank you Urs.
That's the path that I followed. I just got it with the dinosaur discount. ;) Actually, I'm spending more time with Zebralette (which is an AWESOME little synth). I figure once I really get the hang of it, then I'll move on to the big beast.

I got this a while ago. For a freebie, it is a great synth.

And you get Genesis on the CM DVD; lovely synth working alongside Zebra

I just resolved some problems installing zebracm I had, so I'll share: 1.) zebracm needs to be installed in a "u-he" folder. If you try installing it in a folder with a different name, it won't work. 2.) msvcr71.dll file needs to be present in your system32 folder (you can download it or copy it from any program that came with it - eg. adobe, java, office etc.)

...yeah, this one has stunned me too for a while... i think urs wrote about this lazy msc?%$§.dll and that it is needed for this little beauty...

/Library/Audio/Presets/u-he/ZebraCM/ as beej said
i just got round to trying this sucker out on a Mac (used it on Windows before) and i had a hell of a time getting the presets installed correctly until i found THIS thread. it's worth noting that the USER branch doesn't work. it MUST be the main Library folder as shown above... sigh... i really hate when system folders get cluttered up with stuff that wont work in user folders (i have several AUs that wont work in user folders).

Hi
I bought a copy of ComputerMusic, and ZebraCM is still on it, so i was wondering i,( as i already isntalled it about 2 years ago), if it was worth installing it over : did there had any updates since it was released, or is it the same version on each CM issue ?
THank you

Btw : ZebraCm is a nice addition to the full Zebra : a quick, easy, good-looking and good sounding synth ;)

It's tiny, about 20 megabytes with all presets.

Thanks...

Actually the PC installer without the extras is only 1.55 MB...

I wonder if Urs will ever release an x64 version of this one...

She's really cool and I'm having a lot of fun playing with her...

She sounds good and I'm starting to like the u-he stuff more every day...

We're constantly upgrading our systems and stuff, so one day we might get comfy enough to do a ZebraCM 64 bit
