There is no low pass filters by default on my UVIworstation VST player?sbackdoor wrote:You're not telling me you don't know about this are you?
A friend of mine and I "upgraded" to the PlugsoundPro library and Synth Anthology at the same time, both coming from using all Plugsound plugins and Ultrafocus in the past.
He has already emailed USB about this and got a reply that it a knows issue and was being worked on. So why do you need me to list presets in which this is happening? It's a LOT of presets.
Use an AU version of UVI with mentioned soundbanks and you'll see for yourself. Very annoying and a great insult to my wallet.
Are you talking about some loop sounds for breakbeats or something?
My sounds have all the low end needed...even some have too much...I don't get your point?

sbackdoor wrote:Please don't tell me UVI is back to their old behaviour by letting people (read: me!) buy their libraries, only to find out they are rendered completely USELESS (unless you are fond of a broken workflow) because so many of the presets have a CLOSED lowpass filter on them by default!
And NO WAY to change that other than going thru all the sounds and saving them in a new place.
This is sooooo stupid. Please fix this first before sending me any of your library announcements would you!!
Next time if a frikkin STUPID thing doesn't work as advertised tell me UPFRONT instead of letting me buy the sounds that I had ages ago in Plugsound already!!!!!!!
Hello,
This is fixed for quite some time, please contact me at techsupport@ultimatesoundbank.com so I can arrange you to get the new ufs ASAP.

Great sounds but it would really help to be able to search for "that one" whose name is....you know what I mean!!
Thanks

If I want to have several different effect settings of a the same preset used for several parts in a Multi, there's no quick way of doing this without a copy function.
There is no save function for presets either. That is a handicap too IMO.
If the thing didn't sound so good I wouldn't bother with it...but....it does sound good

You can save the presets and DnD the file on your other parts.

Regards,
I would still say there's room for improvement in the functionality though. For instance, AFAIK it's not possible to save or copy/paste effect settings. That would be very useful.
The search function I suggested would be good too.I have 5 Soundcards/packs - if it were possible to search by name or type of instrument, that would be a help, especially when working to a deadline.
I do like the UVI Workstation a lot though and I'm already using it in commercial projects.
best wishes

Hi Olivier!
Is there really no other forum for discussion of this great VI?? That is a pity!

The product to me, looks absolutely amazing! Wonderful GUI, very polished feel! I must admit that I'm pretty confused with the website though. I was expecting to see a Products area with all your products (not sound libraries). Is UVI workstation the only version available? Is there a better version available for some cash which would allow us to produce our own sounds from soundfonts .etc?

If you need deep editing, you can take a look at MOTU MachFive 2 which reads all UVI Soundbanks too.soundpalace wrote:The product to me, looks absolutely amazing! Wonderful GUI, very polished feel! Nop. We don't want to have a real forum here because people will tend to think it's the official support forum and it isn't.rikki rivett wrote:Hi Olivier!

Support is handle through email which allow a better follow up.

Hey guys, any one else having any performance issue's on any of the patches? Last night I was trying to play some parts with the strat with sm57 and it was clicking and popping all over the show once I started hitting more than 2-3 keys.
Granted my system is a tad outdated (dual 1.87 g5 4gb ram), but I get better perforrmance out of fab four than I do from that particular patch, and Play is very hungry on the system.
I tried selecting disk streaming but it didnt seem to make any difference.
Am I missing something? the strat & sm57 patch seems quite small, it should work fine yeah?
Just to note, I can have a good 8 different parts working together in UVI with no problems, so its odd that this patch is giving me grief

Few questions in order to find the issue.
What version of UVIWorkstation are you using ?
What is your buffer size ?
What happen if you disable FXs on this preset ?
Thanks,
