I recorded a drum machine on an audio track and then a bass on another one.
When I listen to the second track (the first one muted)the drum machine is recorded again

Hello, I just downloaded the free windows version and I get problem recording audio tracks.
I recorded a drum machine on an audio track and then a bass on another one.
When I listen to the second track (the first one muted)the drum machine is recorded again , I can't find how to fix this !

they are connected to the computer with a mixing console .
I use the monitors output to go to the souncard.(Emu 0404).

Are you sure the monitor level of your drum machine was set to 0 on your mixing console while recording the bass?
Maybe you accidently recorded both together.

Both tracks were not played at the same time. First the drum track and then the bass track.
The drums recorded on the bass track fits perfectly as if the 1st drum track had been recorded again on the bass track.Couldn't it be some playback routing problems

No; MU.LAB only records what comes into the audio input.
So you'll have to recheck your signal path before audio input.

Hey, I got it !
The computer outputs were plugged into the console then the drum track was automatically re-recorded when playing back. What a stupid guy am I !!!
