Hi to all, i'm new and i've a little problem with the latest version of Mulab.
I've got an iMac G5 PPC with Mac OSX 10.4 and MuLab 2.5.3 Unlimited Version.
I got no External sound card, only integrated, but it worked fine.
Today i've tried to mixdown a session at 32 bit, and all i got was a track with an awful noise and far from being the sound that i set.
I don't know why it ended like this.
I also set the cpu load to 200%, but it didn't work.
I haven't tried a 16 bit mixdown and haven't tried to mute some effects.
So i got a little doubt that the recent version of Mulab don't work quite well with old versions of OSX.

You can implicitly choose the format by setting the .Aiff or .Wav extension.0r4 wrote:There's an option where you can choose the audio format?
If no extension is set, then on OSX the default type is .Aiff.
Could you please test mixing down to Aiff 16 bit, Wav 16 bit and Wave 32 bit. Does those sound OK?

I've got the mixdown you asked, here's the four samples:
http://www.fileden.com/getfile.php?file ... 6-aiff.mp3
http://www.fileden.com/getfile.php?file ... 16-wav.mp3
http://www.fileden.com/getfile.php?file ... 2-aiff.mp3
http://www.fileden.com/getfile.php?file ... 32-wav.mp3
Only the track mixed in aiff with 32bit sound crappy. The other are ok.
Why?

here's a zip file where are stored all 4 samples.
You don't have to create any account.
edit: I've checked my computer.
I've got an iMac G5, 1.8GHz Processor with 1Gb DDR Ram.
Hope it'll help.
