Sylenth Midi Problem

I am demoing Sylenth and I cannot get it to respond to my midi controller (Evolution MK-425C). For example, I try to assign my c8 knob to cc74 (Filter cutoff) - nothing. I try using the midi learn function - click the midi learn button, rotate c8, then rotate the filter cutoff. Light stays orange instead of greying out, indicating that no midi link has been made.
Host is FL Studio.
What am I doing wrong?

1 - click midi learn and light goes orange.
2 - Light goes Orange.
3 - Assign your controls.
4 - Click on midi learn again - light goes out
5 - BINGO all should be fine.
