I'm now a proud owner of Zebra and Filterscape (that I can add to Uhbik).

I just want to tell you how great your plugins are. I always have considered Zebra to be one of the best sounding instrument around. My initial problem was the UI. At 1st I didn't really like it but now I just love it!

Each time I mess with a u-he plugin and discover new things, I'm thinking to myself: "Urs is a genius". Urs, you're plugins sound great, look great, are easy to work with and tweak, offer tons of possibilities and options and are easy on the computer's resources. The price and service are probably the best around. It's almost too good to be true!

Anyway, I'm really happy but I'll stop that now.

Urs, congratulations for these fantastic products and keep'em comming! :tu:

And thank you!

edit: It's been a couple of hours since I've post this message and I've just re-read it. I don't know the correct word in english, but in french it's called "teteux". For people that know the word you'll understand but trust me I'm not, I was just very happy (maybe too much) with my new purchase.

Post

As in: "ostie de teteux!" :hihi:

Yes yes, once again praise :hail: to :hail: the :hail: almighty :hail: URS!! :hail:

:uhuhuh: :uhuhuh: :uhuhuh:

I think it is only a question of months - if not weeks - now, until finally the first Urs-praising sect will be founded. The official name will, I guess, be something like P.T.A.U. (Praise to Almighty URS), and in everyday common language they will probably be called "Urs lovers".

But I must warn you. I have got the feeling that a massive URS conspiracy is going on here. To be frank, I think that either "Urs" is nothing but a virtual entity, or "he" is - don't be shocked now - from outer space.

Think about it, haven't you realised that

- "Urs" is always there
(answering questions on KVR, updating his products etc.) For a human being this would already be impossible, a day has only 24 hours, Urs's day must have 40 at least.

- "Urs" is always friendly and helpful
An obvious proof that "he" cannot be a human being.
Ever so often someone posts an utterly unimportant request here, like "Oh my god!!! I have bought the blabla-set of patches, and patch number 37 sounds slightly dull, and maybe even a bit aliased!!!!!!! This affects my identity as an artist so much that I don't know if I will ever be able to create music again. I am using Zebra2 on my old Windows 98 PC with the free-trial beta version of xyz [=unknown host name]."
Now, the expected answer of an average human being would be something like "The only dull-sounding thing around here is that silly post of yours. Leave me alone, and don't litter my forum with crap.".
But "Urs"'s reaction will of course be something along the lines of "Oh no, a serious problem indeed. I must have overlooked something and will try to fix this as soon as possible. I already have an idea who could be the culprit here, because yesterday evening I have found some unsteady behaviour in one of the filter algorithms that only occurs when seven tempo-synced MSEGs are at work at the same time and you're using an old version of the Unempty Dark Horse Skin. I will look into it immediately, but I am deeply sorry to tell you that an update will probably not be available before tomorrow evening, because I am on holiday at the moment and I am writing this message from my laptop somewhere in the Balinese jungle." (=NOT human).

- "Urs" pretends to have a wife.
Now, come on. He's a programmer, providing updates (all the time), and he's present on this forum (all the time). And he wants us to believe that he actually has A WIFE?

Well, there are many more arguments, but I think it should be obvious to everyone now. "Urs" cannot be real. And whatever "he" is, it seems obvious to me that there must be some sinister plan behind all this (world domination etc.). So, be careful!!!!!! And be WARNED!!!!!!

With very serious greetings, V. (better to remain anonymous, you never know where those "Urs"es lurk) :hihi:

Let me tell you a story...

Yesterday, I sent a project to my brother to track vocals and do final mixing on. I used Zebra2 for the bassline in the middle, and my brother called me up just to tell me how amazing the bass was: "Full, warm, low end, HUGE!...amazing stereo chorus on the bass that holds up fine in mono - What? There's no chorus on this patch, you say? F*ck me!!!"

And the patch was essentially the default patch with the FX bypassed and the cutoff turned down. :hihi:

Thanks, Urs! :hail:

Congrats on your purchases, JP. Zebra and Filterscape are indeed potent tools. I've added a few other synths in the past year to diversify the palette a bit, but Zebra has been my #1 ever since I bought it.

After buying a new MIDI controller that feels genuinely good under my fingers (and has properly working aftertouch - what a concept), I spent most of yesterday morning rediscovering Howard and Michael's analog-style Z2 patches, doing my half-assed "Rick Wakeman," LOL. Apart from the power of the synth itself, I love the fact that most of the patch libraries for Z2 are full of sounds meant to be played, rather than being dominated by over-the-top, one-finger step sequencer craziness.

Yeah, but it seems the Urs myspace bot is too busy/too cool to add me as a friend.
