Ilock and receptor

Hello everybody,

i'm a very new user of receptor and i have a question i was not able to find the answer :

Is there an Ilock in my new buy receptor or have i to buy one?

After a short study of the problem i think that the second option is the right one, but i'm not sure at all.

Hi,

Your Receptor does come with an iLok. Once you register the unit, you will setup your iLok, and muse will email you some iLok licenses (in your iLok account). which can then be downloaded into the iLok plug.

It's not too hard to do, and you don't need to buy anything.

Also, Receptor will work without any iLok at all - but will be limited to running plugs that don't use iLok authorizations.

I've seen those iLok licenses, but when i try to download them it failed.

In fact a new screen appears where i have to synchronize my iLok and that, i can't do.

I have obviously install the iLok program on my PC, so the synchronization try to work.

My receptor is correctly connect to my PC ( i can read his harddrive with network connection ) but the synchronization failed, it says i've no iLok on my PC.

I'm probably missing something simple but i haven't found any help concerning iLok AND receptor.

You speak about an iLok plug, where can i found it ? that's perhaps what i'm doing wrong.

I visit all the hard dive of my receptor, and found nothing concerning iLok.

you say that my receptor does come with an iLock, is it inside???? Because outside i haven't receive any iLock.

And if it is inside, is it an USB key, wich is connect on an USB port inside the receptor?

If it's the case it may be possible it was disconnected during the shipping, isn't it ?

I'll try to be as clear as I can

Yes, the iLok plug is a USB plug (dongle) that you connect to a USB port on your Receptor. It is a blue plastic plug (maybe 6 centimeters) with a green LED that lights up when it is powered on.

This iLok plug should have been included in an envelope of instructions and other papers that came within the packaging of your Receptor box. If you did not receive this, you should send an email to muse research technical support as soon as possible.

Once you find this USB plug you will need to follow the instructions for initializing this on your PC. I don't remember this exactly, but I think you need to download some drivers onto your PC before you can syncronize the iLok plug (with your iLok account on the iLok website). You should be able to find instructions for this in both the Receptor documentation, and on the iLok.com website.

Once you do have your iLok plug plugged in to your PC and intialized, you can syncronize the plug with your iLok account - and transfer licenses onto the plug. After this, you can disconnect the plug from your PC and plug it into your Receptor. At this point, you can download any premium plugins (for which you have licenses on your iLok), and they should be able to run without security issues on Receptor.

I haven't receive any envelope with my receptor and so no iLock nor paper.

The problem has been solve, it was my entire fault, the envelop fall down behind my computer when i open the receptor's box....
The communication was very good with plugorama, and they make me sufficiently confident and i eventually find this....envelop.
